  1. Update OneDrive for Business file size limit to be competitive

Increase OneDrive for Business file size beyond the current cap of 15 GB/file.

OneDrive for Business needs to stay competitive.

  2. Allow substituting a drive letter for the OneDrive for business folder(s).

We have a database that uses drive letters for folders. Using the "subst" command will do just that, substitute a drive letter for the long OneDrive path. However, this creates the folder "System Volume Information" - a hidden, read-only system folder that crashes OneDrive every time! Make OneDrive ignore system files! Allow a drive letter substitution for the long OneDrive path!

  3. KFM (Known Folder Move) needs more customer customization.

I would like to add Favorites, Music, Videos to KFM and also have the option to put Documents in the root of OneDrive versus in a "Documents" folder in OneDrive.

  6. Group Policy to Add SharePoint Sites

SilentConfig is all very good, but I'd also like to be able to add SharePoint Online Libraries to appear automatically alongside the user's OneDrive for Business. A policy item that contains a list of URLs to SharePoint Libraries would do the trick. As SharePoint Libraries might be particularly large, it would make sense if such libraries defaulted to "Files on Demand"

Of course, this should also be added to the OneDrive CSP that everyone is screaming out for!!

  7. On Demand file storage for Server 2016

Please bring On-Demand file storage to Server 2016. Then it will be a viable product for a lot more companies.

  8. Sync client / Files On-Demand support for Windows 10 virtual desktops (VDI)

In 2018 we will begin a 12 month deployment of Windows 10 + Office 365. 45,000 physical devices will be replaced and 15,000 devices will be turned into kiosks accessing virtual desktops. Would like to incorporate OneDrive into the personal data namespace, but you explicitly state there is no support for the sync client (and thus Files On-Demand) for virtual desktops (VDI), and that eliminates OneDrive usage for all since the user experience has to be identical across physical and virtual. If I can't do it for virtual then I can't do it for physical.

    Request explicit statement of support…

  9. implement the feature enabling to restrict internal file share.

    -----
I am thinking of sharing the files among the users of OneDrive for Business's tenant. At this moment, there is a possibility that the data leak might be caused by a simple share even within company user, and therefore I hope the feature to be available that could enable to make a limit on the file share among the users of a tenant so that an admin could execute the restriction for shared files.

  10. Integrate Microsoft's SyncToy with OneDrive

Microsofts's SyncToy has been a staple app for me in syncing files on my laptop hard drive to an external hard drive. It seems this software could be integrated into OneDrive so that those of us who want 100% certainty that our files saved to OneDrive (in the cloud) are also accessible when we are working offline (from our Laptop\PCs native hard drive).

  11. Local Disk Storage Limits

    Save our users from themselves.

We desperately need a solution to limit how much data is synced to the local disk by the OneDrive Sync Client. In an Enterprise scenario, where it's beneficial to allow large amounts of storage in the cloud, there is often not enough local storage to accommodate a user's full data store. Selective sync doesn't satisfy organizational concerns about using up local disk space. Even files-on-demand is leaving a lot of trepidation at the management level. Users will typically just choose to sync everything without thinking of the consequences.

I propose an enforceable policy (GPO or…

  12. Implement the function/option to hide the [+] icon which displayed on the left side screen of OneDrive for Business.

I am aware that each user can create an Office 365 group by clicking the [+] icon which appears on the left side screen of OneDrive for Business. To prevent this, I carried out cmdlets to control from the Microsoft Planner, therefore Microsoft Teams also became unusable at the same time.

Then I have been changing the settings to activate Teams, however, each user is still able to create Office 365 groups from their own OneDrive for Business screen.
For the ease of management, I hope the feature will be implemented enables controlling to hide the [+] icon (to create…

  13. Provide the feature to be able to confirm the expiration date information of anonymous guest links on the screen (UI).

For the ease of management, I would like to the status from the list on the screen(UI) when the anonymous guest link of the expiration date has met. Let me explain the current behaivor below.

    1. Select an item in OneDrive for Business, Set the expiration date of an anonymous guest link and sharing the data.
    2. Even if the anonymous guest link expires and the user cannot view it, [Sharing] status displays as [Sharing in progress].

So that, I hope the function will be added that provides the status of each anonymous guest link on the interface whether the…

  14. Ability to make the "People with existing access" default selection in "Copy link" dialogue.

We would like to be able to use "Copy link" functionality or file sharing without messing the site permissions. There is currently no way for setting the default permission option to "People with existing access". Users need to change this every time they use the functionality.

  15. Disable Files On demand by default

Files on demand would have been a great idea 10-15 years ago when disks were small. Now that 1TB and larger disks are commonplace even in lower end laptops, this is just a horrible option. I've found myself forgetting when moving from one device to another to turn this junk off and when I find myself in a place with terrible or non-existent Internet I don't have all my files despite having hundreds of GB free on my disks. At the very least, I should be able to disable this quack feature in 365 globally so when I login it's…

  16. File modified date changes automatically even if the file is just opened and closed without any modification

In Office 2016, there is an issue with the file's modified date with files that are saved locally on a user's system but synced with their One drive.
Even if a user opens up an excel file and just closes it without making any changes or without saving any changes, excel automatically changes the Date modified to the current date and time when it is opened. This creates problem in tracking the file based on their last modified date.
Pls restore back the earlier version when the Date modified would change only on saving them and not otherwise.

  17. Disable "Download" option from One Drive for Business" Office 365 web console.

It would be grt if Microsoft can provide us an option where in we can disable Download option from One drive for business web console.

Reason: We have some confendital data that our employees save in ODB. We have created a policy from ODB admin console which says that they can only activate ODB on a domain joined machines. but the web console is not protected. The user can go home and login to ODB web console and download the data. For the security purpose we want to disable the "Download" option from the web console.

  18. To be able to schedule syncing time.

To be able to schedule syncing time.
Currently, I can stop syncing for few hours. But, I have to do it daily.
There must be an option where I can schedule “stop sync”.
Example: Do not Sync from 6PM to 10AM daily.
I don’t want my home wifi to consume bandwidth.

  19. Bring to OneDrive Business option "Add to my OneDrive" only available only at personal OneDrive

I want this feature in OneDrive for Business.
    https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Add-and-sync-shared-folders-to-OneDrive-8a63cd47-1526-4cd8-bd09-ee3f9bfc1504?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US&fromAR=1

When someone shares a folder and gives you edit permissions to it, add the shared folder to your own OneDrive to make it easier to edit and work with the folder and its contents. If you sync the folder to your Windows or Mac computers running the OneDrive app, you can work with the folder offline.

Add a shared folder to your OneDrive

Sign in to OneDrive on your browser.

In the OneDrive navigation pane, under OneDrive, click Shared. Folders you can add to your OneDrive are marked Can edit.

    OneDrive…
