We have a user at my office that had to move a file out of SharePoint because it would not function correctly when it was there. The file now resides on Huddle because of a pivot table refresh problem.

She has references in the pivot table that reference the same worksheet, however whenever she saves the document the link she creates changes from this Sheet:B3 etc. to https://almondgateway.sharepoint.com/...... This is causing problems because when data is changed locally the pivot tables don't refresh properly. They still hold the old data and none of the updated data.

I was at the SharePoint conference this week and this is what the OneDrive engineers recommended that I put in the ticket so that we can get it resolved.

They also said mention the key words: TAKEN OUT OF SHAREPOINT, and PUT ON HUDDLE instead.

This is a problem of OneDrive in Windows 10.

So for example I have a 2GB file on my OneDrive storage that I want to check the properties of.
I right-click and select properties. then OneDrive keeps me waiting because on the taskbar it shows that it's actually downloading the whole file, just to show me its properties. so OneDrive can't only get the metadata but it needs to acquire the whole file to show me its properties.

This needs to change because it's just waste of Internet bandwidth and is bad for productivity.

I have Office 365 Business premium subscription but the problem happens to both business (OneDrive for business accounts) And personal Microsoft accounts (@outlook.com).

Discovered the presence of OneDrive after I bought a new PC from Dell. I didn't understand what it was doing at first, nor its purpose. After I figured it out, I wanted to remove it, as I do not use a smartphone, and even if I did, would never use it to edit documents or manage photos. Even with the help of a service technician, It took me a couple hours to figure out how to get rid of it. After first uninstalling, had to re-install, upload and re-sync everything, then unlink, delete all the files from OneDrive, and finally, uninstall. I was then able to restore the contents of the Desktop, Documents, and Pictures directory from backup copies I had made. Took about 3 hours.

It seems like all the instructions that come with this software are oriented toward setting everything up. Very little, and hard to find, instructions to dismantle it. Please make this an opt-in feature in Windows, not the default.

So a major problem with ODB is the file path name. That you force us to use "OneDrive - Tenant" is stupid. I should be able to put ODB files ANYWHERE I want, including C:\A if that's the path I choose. That gives me a TON of additional characters. Right now I rename the Tenant name each time I setup ODB either for us or a client (we're a Silver Cloud Partner). It's ridiculous that we have to do that. It's poor planning on Microsoft's part and only serves as an advertisement. Give us 1000 character path names and it'd be fine, but the Draconian limits you give on path names is a problem.
