to allow people without microsoft account to share files on a shared Onedrive folder
Hello, I would like to know if it's possible somehow to share files to a shared OneDrive frolder without having a Microsoft account:
i.e. I share a folder with some friends who don't have a microsoft account, they can download the files without any problema and I have granted them edition permissions, but if they want to upload files to the folder they are redirected to a Microsoft account login webpage,so:
Is there a way of sharing files to a shared OneDrive folder without a Microsoft account?
Thanks

Thanks for the suggestion. Just being transparent that we aren’t likely to get to this in the near future.

WTF, how annoying is this ? 1TB of paid Onedrive space and you cannot share with people without a Microsoft account.

This is the most annoying OneDrive feature. Absolutely unacceptable

It would be nice go get an updated answer from Microsoft on this. Are you planning to add this feature to your application anytime soon?

Definitely something that you should prioritize solving.

Its is ********, yes MS its absolutely ******** and arrogant no require people to setup an MS account in order to share files.
Taken this moment I would like to apologize to Dropbox for straying. -

OneDrive has been a constant thorn in my side since I started using it. If I could get my MIcrosoft Surface to work reliably with Dropbox, I'd be back there in a heartbeat. I might have to pay for the service, but at least it worked when I needed to collaborate. In today's sharing environment, businesses need to seamlessly collaborate with a host of users--some who may not have microsoft IDs. By inhibiting this level of collaboration, Microsoft is particularly hampering small businesses.

Not only would it be nice to allow them to upload files but to also create new word, excel, etc. documents on a editable shared folder(s).

We are using FileRequestPro.com to receive files from customers in our onedrive folder. We also share a folder with them. Would be great if the can upload directly into it.

The unfriendly response from the MS rep was TWO YEARS AGO. He was right. They didn't get to it in the "near future". Two years ago is almost ancient history in today's computer world. You've had way more time than any reasonable company would take. As has been said repeatedly, you're ignoring your customer's needs! DO IT NOW!!!

Ignoring customers.
App displays wrong message saying everyone can view. That is not correct. -

This is a much-needed feature. Make it happen.

As much as I despise google, at least they give customers what they want. I try to like Microsoft products but this feature is another nail in the coffin. Please try to do what's right for customers. I'm sorely tempted to ditch 365 if I can't do simple things like share photos with people that I've traveled with. It's my account that I pay for, let me share it with friends.

Another vote to add this feature. I really thought it was possible but today I needed it and I realized you need an account to upload on someone else's one drive. This is unacceptable. Please fix this otherwise I will cancel my subscription and I will let everyone know they should not get the one drive subscription.

Another vote to add this feature to OneDrive. I have an account, but haven't used it due to this lack.
On the other hand, Google Sheets really stinks at handling an Excel file. It removed my data tables and messed up the formulas.
On the third hand, SharePoint handles Excel files reasonably well. You can edit, even some formulas. However, it is not an option for private users.

I was just about to purchase OneDrive package with a yearly subscription, but now that I saw this I won't. This is not acceptable for modern day cloud service. Have to start looking for other options.
