Use OneDrive for business as home folder
I would like to store my users data in their one drive for business root folders
C:\users\%username%\Onedrive for Business\Documents
C:\users\%username%\Onedrive for Business\Pictures
C:\users\%username%\Onedrive for Business\Music
and use folder redirection with GPO to set it automatically
We just published an article on how to set this up yourself or for your team using group policy. Take a look — https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Redirect-known-folders-to-OneDrive-for-Business-e1b3963c-7c6c-4694-9f2f-fb8005d9ef12?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US&fromAR=1

The feature is great but...... if we configure this redirection is not done at first logon because the Sync Client isn't configured yet. Is this going to be fixed in the future?

That's a good source Douglas thanks for sharing, why not make this native/inherent? Perhaps bring the Autosave tab to OneDrive for Business? Why is this feature not available btw?
Azure AD connected machines?
Well this does not work when OneDrive renames the folder with a (1) number behind the folder name... then this causes trouble...

Add MDM CSP provider to manage Onedrive settings or other policies related

Is it possible to do this with (non-business) OneDrive? On Windows 10, I would like to automatically save my Videos to OneDrive (but it doesn't seem to be an option in the Settings app). Similarly, on Windows 10 Mobile, I would like my voice recordings, recorded calls, etc. to automatically save to OneDrive.

This is how we now onboard users by manually changing the location to folders in each users OneDrive - although we don't have a high staff turnover

This would be the result of my suggestion here:

Please allow this to be policy driven and configurable from either GPO, Config Manager, Intune Full Client, or MDM.
This is a great feature to have!!

Automatic upload of files(Office, PDF, JPG, etc) from Desktop\MyDocuments\Favorites to OneDrive - Business(NGSC).
Currently changing the default location of Desktop or MyDocuments to OneDrive folder messes up the system.
Autosave feature is available in OneDrive - Personal account only.

Check this article out - I'm setting this up. FYI it only works on win 7 clients right now, win10 seems to have GPO related issues..

This can already be done. You can simply "move" your folders into the OneDrive folder (or any folder).
Just right click any one of those folders, from c:\users\username and in properties, you can "move". I used to do that, but found that with multiple computers, it doesn't work that well since "default.rdp" is stored in the root of your "documents" folder, and there is no way to change that. With 4 computers that I work from, all having different resolutions, this is not a workable thing. Also having my personal docs mixed with business docs, on computers that are in my vehicle, isn't the best thing either. YMMV!
on a sharepoint on premise site of course :-)
