Simplify the OneDrive for Business install process
The new sync client installer is crazy. To install you must first determine if your user has 1D consumer, if so set a registry entry. Then run install. Plus, when the install is complete it runs side-by-side with groove.exe and syncs the same content to two folders on the same PC. This needs to be addressed ASAP. The new client should use the same folder as GROOVE - this would at least prevent duplicate sync and the need for my users to go clean up the install process. I've got 8,000 users I want to deploy to.
I guess the reason that the installation was not improved is due to OneDrive for Business team and OneDrive (personal Microsoft account) are both different team. But from user's point of view like us, we only see one brand that is OneDrive.
So Microsoft, please improve the installation process. It seems that last time your team released "onedrive.exe /takeover" command, but later found out that this command is not working at all!
So finally, we had to run the registry command.
What we want as user is just seamless installation process. If OneDrive for Business is installed at the time of installing OneDrive, your installer must remove it. If the latest OneDrive and OneDrive for Business is installed, please do seamless migration and uninstallation of OneDrive for Business just like you do silent background update for OneDrive.
Go one step further and at least ask the question to disable/remove non-business onedrive

This also is the case for the Macbook client.
