Allow me to rename my onedrive folder name. The nomenclature "OneDrive - Your Company Name" is unnecessarily long
The file path limit of 256 characters is very limiting and annoying in and of itself. It is crazy that the mandatory folder name for the OneDrive for business folder is "OneDrive - Your Business Name". For my business, this adds on almost 20 characters! I already have a cloud service and when I tried to drag my folders over, many files will not sync simply because of this long folder name. I am forced to go back and re-work my folder and file structure.
its a folder you should be able to name it anything. that is all!

I concur! Not a fan of long folder names. I am forced to not use OneDrive. Back to managing my code on my Lap Top and Desk Top.
Why Windows would even allow spaces, to begin with, is beyond me. We need the ability to remove all white space from the folder name.

We have a small company that serves multiple markets with multiple brands/domains. For a LARGE number of reasons, we have a single O365 account. It is insane that you FORCE the legal entity name on use of One Drive. So we have company(1), company(2) and company(3) folders in Explorer. GENIUS!!!! Why didn't we think of that! It isn't like the email accounts, domains, etc. are not unique. Seriously, who do you have writing these platforms, elementary school kids?
Agreed we need the ability to remove spaces and special characters

I add myself to this request, due to space problems in the folder name. Always the spaces and the special characters create problems for many software, I don't understand why this choice.

It would be nice if they would allow the icon name to be changed. Although Microsoft never listen so it just will never happen.
Its a similar thing on one note you can not create a section group from the web interface. Thousands ask for that ability but it will also never happen.
Eventually due to lack of working features they loose customers for a product, then they will drop that product and wonder why people do not use it.

I cannot use many of my GIS scripts if there is a space in the OneDrive file name. This makes OneDrive useless for my business purposes. I get that you're awfully proud of OneDrive, but your letting your marketing department make decisions that shouldn't be their's to make.

Please make this happen. I can't believe a company like Microsoft forced this on its users. Spaces in folder name kill many of my scripts. Thank you!
PLENTY reasons to be able to rename my OneDrive folder!
Multiple accounts / subscriptions with employees working across the board - now the drives have the same "Name" ...
NOT good at all.

Fix my account please I can't recovered my old files and documents

You used to be able change the OneDrive folder, and select any folder to use with OneDrive.
Forcing you to use the Company name as part of Directory name is not working for me. We are only one company and we know who we are.
I need to remove blank spaces in the path OneDrive - CompanyName
Absurd we can't rename the folder.
Fix the dang file character length. This is holding us back from fully utilizing OneDrive. This has been a recurring issue since 2014 posts i have seen. Come on folks.
some commads not workiing if total path is large. must allow to change
The function is extremely necessary. Please add as soon as possible. Often, customers have long names of their organizations. This is one of the questions that comes back to us with every new customer. I'm looking forward.

The long folder name is a BIG blocker for usability for so many users. The fix is probably very simple. Please get this done rather than asking customers to come here and voice out their frustration!
Otherwise, fix the 256 character limitation for file path.

I also am hoping to use OneDrive for a company that is transitioning to all O365 tools, but some people have to access one drive from more than one user and is is nearly impossible to keep straight which is which when restricted to (1), (2) after the name to differentiate. This makes OneDrive for business relatively unusable for organizations.
Please allow me to change the OneDrive for business folder name on my local drive. I have several accounts under my company and some people log in to multiple onedrive folders. Onedrive - Company Name(1), OnDrive - Company Name(2) pretty much sucks.
