Videos no longer play in browsers
Videos uploaded from an Android phone no longer open in browsers (Edge, IE11, Chrome). All my videos play fine using a desktop video player, but when uploaded to OneDrive there's just an error 'sorry, there was a problem loading the video.'
This might have something to do with video formats, because it only affects videos taken with the Nokia 8 Android phone, where videos I've uploaded previously that worked no longer open in browsers, but videos taken with an old Windows phone (Nokia Lumia 925) still work fine. Both are mp4 though.
There's a workaround in Chrome, by enabling 'load unsafe scripts', but that's not a long-term option.

It is now almost 3 years later and I have the exact same problem with a home video produced in m2ts format (on the list of acceptable video formats) using Power Director 13. Loads and plays A-OK on Google MyDrive. I have the 1TB Microsoft 365 package - loads of available space = no problem with uploading. Playing directly on the drive is the issue.

I have a similar problem.
I have home videos from a minDV tape that have been saved as Mp4.I need to get my money back from Microsoft and go to a different platform - I paid for 1TB.
What they said it could do, it doesn't do.Does anyone know how to do this?

A not so elegant workaround can be found here: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/onedrive/forum/odwork-odedit-sdmac/onedrive-wont-play-video-in-browser-any-more/d91ec130-50c6-46d7-89f3-62b7cde77a95
This is clearly a script related bug in web browser onedrive code.
