Dark mode on Mac
Since OSX Yosemite, they introduced a dark mode for menu bar. Problem is OneDrive icon does is not visible probably because the menu bar and the icon has the same color. Anyways, adding a quick white OneDrive icon will solve this easily.
The latest Mac OS sync client is now available in the App Store, with support for Dark mode. Thank you all for the feedback!

Anyone has a copy of Brandon's custom icons for Onedrive? I'm using the beta sync app for Onedrive for Business, but it lacks dark mode support (still! grrr!).
Microsoft is really not good on providing software support or updates.

For backup issues you can actually try using "Cloudbacko home" i am basically using this software from long time and really satisfied using this software. If you want to have backup for windows and MAC then cloudbacko home is the perfect solution for you. Leaving a link just check:http://www.cloudbacko.com/free-backup.jsp

I can't find any forum on Internet for my problem with OneDrive and Yosemite. OneDrive app is installed and I can see it. But nothing happens when I click on it, and no OneDrive folder is to be found anywhere. Soon I'm giving up on Mac. Also always very complicated to connect to NAS. Not automatic like on Windows. It seems like Mac is made for no-network use and only for artists, not business people. Only good for me is long battery life and good display, but for everyday use it's

Quick fix works, but if you go back to the normal mode, the problem is you don't get the dark icons. /s
I really hope the OneDrive team is considering this on the next update. -

Thanks Anonymous for the instructions and @Brandon for the awesome icons. But still I think MS should still update the app for the other users who are not technically savvy.

Thanks for doing this, Brandon. I'm not that technically sophisticated: where do these replacement icon go to make it happen in the menu bar?

I created a set of custom icons for the dark menubar. You can replace the icons with these if you like :D https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/6851931/custom%20dark%20menubar%20icons/onedrive.zip
