Remove (Hide) Files from "Shared with Me" view
Allow removing/hiding files and folders from the OneDrive for Business "Shared with Me" view.
Some shared files and folders are unwanted or obsolete , so it should be possible to remove/hide those.

This feature has begun rolling out. You can select files in your Shared with Me view and remove them. The file will still be available from search should you want to retrieve it. Thanks!

October 2020 - We have the same problem with docs attached to emails when the emails have been deleted. Why do I not have an option to clear emails from shared with me view when the emails are also cleared. The files get downloaded or printed if required then everything else is to be cleared to comply with Privacy Commissioner but Microsoft still seems to feel entitled to access it? These particular files do not, and will not ever live on OneDrive given the issues surrounding privacy here.

Can't select file from Shared with Me. Only options available are : Open, Share, Follow and View Library. I'm using O365.

Our district has inflicted OneDrive on us all. It's horribly inefficient and difficult. I have dozens of kids sharing stuff with me regularly, and I can't remove files from last year or last semester. I don't need to see them anymore and they clutter my workflow. To make matters worse, there's no way for me to reorganize the 'shared with me' files into my own categories. It's just one big dumping zone. HORRIBLE. Please fix it.

Is there update comming regarding orginize ondrive shared folder?
In google drive you can shared with me files transfer to an other folder of choice without making only a copy. For buisiness it is a necessary.
And still you cannot remove files from the shared with me folder. It only puts it on the bottom of your list in the folder -

Still not working. Using a filter to show only the most recently modified files helps, but I would like for my users to select "Remove from List" and have it work. Or you could remove the option so that people stop hoping that it will work.

Hello? This is ridiculous. I don't want my pictures popping up every time I go into my Shared folder with the "Links OneDrive sent to me". First, why are you sending this to me in the first place. I shouldn't have to un-enable this. Second, no one uses this to begin with. We look at our photos when we want, and rarely do I need a weekly recap. Microsoft, what is it that you exactly do now?

This feature does not appear to be working. It's been a while now based on comments below. How come no one is trying to resolve this issue?

Still not working today. In fact, while trying to unsharing folders two more empty versions of the folders are now visible in the drive of the "shared with" person.

if you give it some time, the files will disappear from your list.

I found that if you share them again and ad permission to be edit , copy the link and then go back to share folder online , then you can deleted. It is a glitch probably from link to some of my phones or who else know what happend but this how i was able to delete those shares.

This is not "Boom! It's Done"! It still does not work. You can remove over and over and the file still shows in the list of files.
