OneDrive Activity Log
Just as it's implemented in Google Drive - would like to be able to view an activity feed which shows
- Recent file updates
- Recent items shared by/with you
- Recent creation/deletion of Folders
Thanks for the feedback. We recently began rolling out our new activity center which shows the files that are sync’ing, have recently sync’d, and more. There’s more to do so please create individual requests for features you’d like to see in upcoming releases.
A log will also help troubleshoot when the OneDrive system tray icon displays an exclamation point and reports synchronization issues with three files and there's no admin/end user method to determine which three files -- OneDrive modern app displays all files are synchronized, File Explorer does not display any exclamation points on the file icon or other visual indications of an error, OneDrive Fix-It tool and posted troubleshooting steps do not resolve, and I still have hundreds of thousands of files to sift through to find the three files with synchronization issues. Occasionally, the OneDrive tray icon no longer displays a synchronization error; however, the issue often reappears in another week or two.
As an admin and end user, we really need a log to troubleshoot synchronization error messages.
I agree - I would be really helpful to see which files are being uploaded and which have been recently uploaded in a mac client, just like dropbox.
Aslo we need to have a similar feature that dropbox and box.com has that it has small green tick marks next to those files and folder that have been uploaded in finder/explorer. This is something what Onedrive is really missing.
I was going to suggest the same / similar thing -- a page on OneDrive.com akin to Events in Dropbox, so you can see all files/folder/shares additions/deletions/changes etc.
I don't know how Google Drive has this implemented... but maybe OneDrive's creators could check both of them and try to make it even better. ;)
Yes! I would really like to see this feature!! both gdrive and dropbox do this, please add to onedrive too :)
yes this is very useful.. I share files from my Onedrive instead of sending as attachement.. I want to be able to see who looked at the file or atleast how many times it was viewed so that I can be sure it was not forwarded or shared with someone else..
Also please add
Recently viewed/downloaded (for the files/folders you share)
Activity log can be the default view for onedrive..

Please expose this feature to the api as well so that OneDrive can integrate with IFTTT as a trigger source.
I completely agree with this feature!

This would be awesome.
All activities regarding file changes should be recorded to track what is happening. There is no way to know now what files are getting uploaded, got uploaded, downloaded, modified, deleted, shared and when all these have happened. I have given 3 votes

I was going to suggest that.
And please, don't forget comments in this feed.
