Initial Batch upload as Backup through one Zip package
I uploaded my whole photo library to One Drive with an Upstream of 2MBit. It took me near a month to do this. I would like to see a feature to improve this first initial backup of large file collections, here is my suggestion:
Allow a user to provide a zip of a complete directory structure with all contents included through a web portal or the background upload process (in that case maybe with a special name like "initial upload.zip"). Those upload will be faster than synchronizing e.g. 30.000 photo files upstream.
Materialize the uploaded file on your backend and have from this point the normal sync mechanisms taking place.
In my opinion this would allow backup stuff to OneDrive much faster than through the current process.

Funny that this feature is not there at 0 milestone and must be suggested.
It's soooooo fundamental when it comes to clowding - and it was even 15 years ago with "primitive" ftp services. -

You can actually use "Ahsay software" for taking backup and recovery. I am using it from long time and really satisfied using this software. http://www.ahsay.com/jsp/en/home/index.jsp?pageContentKey=ahsay_products_overview
