OneDrive MUST work with Roaming Profiles
Roaming profiles are a core enterprise Windows feature, and its use is not going away. Neither the consumer nor business OneDrive works with it. But I'd rather use OneDrive. I'd especially like settings sync with my Windows 8.1 Phone to work, and that requires OneDrive.
Dropbox works with roaming profiles. G-Drive works with roaming profiles. Box works with roaming profiles. Only OneDrive doesn't work with roaming profiles.
Thanks for reaching out to us. Just being transparent that this is a deprecated feature in Windows 10 and it’s not something we’re pursuing within the OneDrive engineering team.

From my latest experiments, I have been able to use Onedrive on non-persistent desktops, using App volumes user writable volumes and UEM.
Here is the ingredients:
Windows 10 release 1709
App volumes 220.127.116.11
User Writable volume
Instant clones pool
Onedrive ADAL enabled as well as silent configuration (since 17.3.7076.1026) and "files on demand".
and the magic ingredient: Onedrive v 18.025.0204.0007
We this setup I am able to roam Onedrive from one non-persistent desktop to another non-persistent desktop.
Theorically, this should work with standard roaming profiles.

OneDrive 4B + RoamingProfile PLEAS !!!
Hi, as an admin for 2000 users and 750 computers all running Windows 10 and Office 2016 and all using roaming profiles and re-directed documents and can confirm
1.) Roaming profiles are not a "deprecated" feature in Windows 10 and as JRV pointed out they are a core enterprise feature and will be to schools and business for the foreseeable future.
2.) The community still needs a version of OneDrive that works with Roaming Profiles and Folder re-direction
Can anyone please confirm this is now supported? I have my customer roaming profiles are able to sync but he is having files now delete/restore themselves like deja vu. One day we delete a file the next day is back to the same location this is hurting his business as the deleted files are legal documents that need to gone when they say begone.
I have posted on numerous forums and also partially stalled on Published Apps in our environment due to this incompatibility with long standing enterprise model. The frustrating thing is that there is never a response to the request/suggestion/issue... Almost like there is a hope that all will go away into the cloud, evaporate over time as it were ... Hybrid is still going to be around for a long while, especially in less developed countries with higher expenses and less redundant connectivity options... any comment Microsoft?
Agreed... i am holding off painfully on a published RDP app solution where I want to have a common OneDrive environment... seems like a massive hole here that would normally co-inside with an up sell push to an alternate solution but Nada here so far... Would make sense for this to be a permitted feature in OD Business and not OD Consumer... Am I wrong here? Can someone forward this to MS Marketing department... ;-P

I agree 100% that OneDrive not working with Roaming Profiles is scandalous, but to be fair, Dropbox is not supported in that configuration either.

Thanks a lot for your feedback.
Currently, installing Dropbox on either a shared folder or network drive, using redirected folders, and installing Dropbox on roaming profiles are not supported.<snip>
Absolutely - this has to happen ASAP. Lots of criticism from G-Drive users saying OneDrive is useless if folder in mapped drive can't be synced.
