Make it possible to choose folders to sync in the photos backup feature for Android
There should be a way of choosing what photo folder will or will not be synced by the Photos Backup OneDrive feature. All my screenshots are being synced even though they are in a separate folder from the actual camera folder, and all my photos taken using third-party apps that are saved in other locations are not being synced at all.

"+1 to this. Seriously could not have chosen a less useful implementation. My photos are organized nicely on my S6 in albums, why on earth is it a good idea to mash them all into one "Camera Roll" folder in OneDrive? Amazon Photos got this right, it uploads my albums into folders with the same name as on my device, which I can then easily create an album in Amazon Photos by converting that folder into an album.
Additionally - the selective folder sync page does not seem like it has any rhyme or rhythm to it - are my folders sorted by file path? name? size? or just bogusly?"
Even when selecting to create albums automatically, they are stored in just one large and ugly folder on OneDrive. It's a mess and makes this "feature" useless.
Also, when I select some folders to sync, the app claims that everything is synced when, in fact, there is nothing on OneDrive. I cannot rely on an app to backup my files if its says to me that my files are backed up, when they aren't.

Uninstall and re install the app on your phone. That's how I found the solution. I only need to upload screenshots from my phone and the issue was resolved.

Where can I find the screen with the overview of these folders (with the sliders to turn on/off syncing)? I can't find it anywhere. I only get to this screen with the occasional notification where it asks me if I want to use x folder to sync with Onedrive. Thanks guys.

Hasta el momento no se actualiza la aplicación y no se puede hacer copia de seguridad de las fotos tomadas por otras apps, mas aun ni las fotos tomadas de la propia camara.

You could not have chosen a less useful implementation. On my Galaxy S7 it shows the individual folder name but not the path. And it does it in apparently random order.

Bravo on the update, the app constantly throws notification of potential folders to backup..
I have some folders I don't want backed up... please stop throwing notification if I say cancel.

When you choose a folder to sync it should upload those pictures in it's own separate folder (ex: WhatsApp pics in an WhatsApp folder, SnapChat pics in a Snapchat folder) so it's separate from the Camera Roll.

Same thing for Windows Phone

I agree we should allow selective sync beyond camera photos--I edit in Snapseed, and those photos are never synced, and neither are Instagram photos. So, I still need to keep Dropbox active to catch those for me. (But I only have ~17GB on Dropbox vs. over 1TB on OneDrive.)

As per my understanding, currently only the camera folder (android, Samsung) gets backed up. Need to be able to back up all folders of photos, or allow the user to select the folders.
Recently, the micro SD failed on me and I lost all the photos on it. Not backed up as they were not in camera folder. Personally, I like to separate my photos as I go.

I agree, NONE of the competing products like Box.NET, Dropbox OR Google Drive backup files other then the DCIM folder on the Android device.
I just found out that even images from a Screenshots folder on the Android are uploaded to the Camera Roll folder of Onedrive and this is really bad.
Give the user otherwise the option which folders to backup OR only backup the real camera roll from the device and that is the DCIM folder on an android phone.
Plus with some Samsung phones, bulk shots are saved in the local SDCard DCIM folder while normal photos can be stored on the external SD card DCIM folder. -
