please fix the OneDrive .pdf viewing problem
If we share a .pdf file with someone in OneDrive, when they click on the shared link the file opens in Word Online, and the file looks horrible when viewed in this manner, especially if the file contains graphics and/or nonstandard fonts.
Please fix .pdf viewing in Word Online or allow the .pdf file to be opened in Acrobat instead of Word Online.
A third choice might be to allow file sharing in a "Download Only" mode instead of opening in Word Online. In simple terms, you click on the file and I prompts you to download or open the file instead of viewing in Word Online.
If you are going to add a "download only mode" you may also want to consider adding a "view but don't download" sharing mode.

We changed to use the native browser PDF support and will continue investing to make this look good. Try it again and let us know if you think it’s better or if there’s more you’d like to see.

Hi, would you please explain why when searching for a file on OneDrive, the result pdf would open but would be only be possible to download in complete webpage format - I want to download the pdf file, not the webpage. I'm doing printscreens, but the quality is low, so I need the pdf file. It is also impossible to copy the location - would you please advise how to open a pdf file on onedrive after searching it?

This is terrible, i just upgraded my onedrive storage at my own cost. Spent hours transfering PDF files to onedrive only to have to download them back to my computer again to be able to view them. This is unacceptable and judging by these comments it has been ignored time and time again. I cannot and shouldnot have to download all my uploaded files to view them. If you open them with word online it turns them into word doc's.

I have a pdf with links that go places inside the document. Those links don't work with the pdf app in Onedrive, but they work with Word Online.

its not done. as a new user of one . drive and word, all works well so far but trying to open a pdf from a word view of the drive causes it to try to convert it after download to something unreadable. I have to open it outside of the word app and from the drive folder on the imac itself, after already installing adobe and . giving it access to one drive. a pain and unnecessary, since all other files seem to open seamlessly.

I am having this problem as well. ALL of the colors in the pdf files I have uploaded are entirely off. They look awful.

We still have issues with viewing large PDF files in OneDrive preview browser. The same PDFs are displayed correctly in Google Drive preview browser (similar functionality to OneDrive).

I am not sure how you change an important feature like this. Microsoft always surprise me with their lack of communication with the their customers. I am really disappointed! After I sent a link to my PDF, pictures do not show any more because it is shown in word online. I don't trust you guys anymore.

I think our PDF files look fine when viewing online and the links all work, but my boss still wants users to be able to directly open it in Adobe or do a direct download. Is this possible?

Hi, is this the place for PDF viewing problems in onedrive or do I need to go open one somewhere else? my issue is, if I put a PDF with highlights in one drive and then try to look at the PDF via the portal, all the highlights now cover whatever word they are highlighting. but if I download the document and look at it, it looks fine.

Doug, even though the status shows "Boom! It's Done" I find that it isn't quite there. Perhaps there is some other issue with my browser? Any ides are welcome.

Please give users the option to download files in "Shared with me". I am having an issue where PDF/PNG files are shared with me and they are difficult to download I have to create my own view/edit links to download the files.

When opening a shared pdf file using OneDrive it opens fine. However, the info pane on the righthand side pops from right to left always, when I click on the i for information it retracts. I need to be able to view the pdf without this info window popping out.. is there a way to eliminate this popup window from being displayed when I view the pdf file? Thanks

It looks like this new behavior has broken ability to Edit PDF files in Word Online.
I found this inappropriate as this removal a current functionality was not listed nor in product roadmap, nor in Office 365 Message Center.
I hope Microsoft will find a way to leave to customer the power to choose which behavior will fit it better.
