Really fix Photo background uploading in iOS
I'm running the latest version of OneDrive on iOS 8.3 on an iPhone 6 Plus and this feature doesn't work as intended. Even with background refresh On and the location settings set to Always, I still have to manually open the app for new photos in my Camera Roll to sync to OneDrive. The only thing having Location set to Always gives me is a badge counter of how many photos need to be uploaded. It is never performed automatically. Please fix.
Additionally, I would prefer that automatic photo uploads from my Camera Roll to OneDrive be performed without leveraging Location Services. Letting it run in the background to collect new photos should be adequate.

Thank you for reporting. We are working to address complaints about iOS camera backup, and the best way to get an issue resolved is to submit your ticket through in-app support. This lets us use logs and personal account information to help debug the problem.
Our team will continue to make product reliability a top priority, and we use UserVoice to hear from our community which features you’d like to see the team work on next.

Still does not work - do have a OneDrive with 50-60 GB and 1300 photos and videos on my iPhone. OneDrive App starts, nothing is being synchronized, info on "account" is loading endlessly aborting each page update...
Well this problem is around for 2 years now. Does not seem to bother MS much?

The problem is support just get in an endless level 1 triage loop and never do anything about the p RT oblems

Why don't you re-open this up? Here is the stance from support
"If the pictures are old then OneDrive has a feature to upload the file manually. If the picture are too old then they might not get uploaded automatically as OneDrive has the limitation that it might not automatically upload the file which are too old to OneDrive."
It needs to go back to the dev team.

Yeah why did I buy extra storage for OneDrive? My photos only upload after I open OneDrive and click photos at the bottom of the app. Then they finally stat to upload. If hassle for something that is silluoposwd to be automatic, it works fine with google drive or drop box. Maybe since MS hasn't addressed this I should cancel OneDrive data plan and buy googles or Dropbox extra storage?

this really sucks! I wanted to convert from iCloud to Onedrive but I don't think it is an option given the STILL broken state. I've got a ticket open, but really...what are they going to be able to do. It is stuffed.

Yes, agree that this is a HUGE shortcoming of the onedrive app. If MS apps don't work on an iphone, there's always the danger that Windows users will simply switch to a Mac when next buying a computer...

I too has this problem on my new iPhone 7 plus. Always worked for me. However, I started to see this problem since the latest iOS upgrade earlier this week.

I have the same issue... Seeing so many messages reporting it even after 1 year, is unbelievable.
Microsoft, you are disappointing again. I guess i will have to reconsider going back to Dropbox. It is really a pity. -

I assumed all of my photos were uploaded to OneDrive in their original form but come to find out, the files were downsized. Now that I removed the photos from my phone, I have later found out the photos on OneDrive are not the same resolution. I removed some good photos that are now low res thanks to OneDrive. Thanks a lot!

iPhone broke. Have not been opening the APP for a week and lost important pictures. This is ridiculous.
This reminds me of old Windows days where you constantly save your work as you go. Never know when the system will hang/reboot on you. What else can one expect, it is the same Microsoft.

It's Sept 2016 and my aunt's iphone 6 and my Uncle's Samsung Android (Galaxy 5S) both skip some pictures. Wondering how long does it take to fix?

Dropbox and Google have been doing this reliably for years. This issue was reported over a year ago and you guys have no solution to date. I'm paying for 1TB of storage but what good is it if I can't reliably get my data uploaded?

It has been ample time to fix this OR at the least respond with a status. Douglas Pearce any updates on fixing this would be great!!
