Why is this feature only setup for Anonymous links...that makes no sense. When will this be for any type of OneDrive/SharePoint sharing?

BOOM! It's Done!.....(for anonymous links only!)
Can this be extended to ALL sharing, I.E. shareable, Internal and Direct.
I have not worked with an organisation yet that allows shareable or Anonymous sharing from SPO or OneDrive

We share a lot of documents with external collaborators and we would like to be able to set an expiry date or number of days that the link is available.

Some improvements:
- Display the expiration date to the end-users when they share
- Make an option for setting a default expiration length (and let the user override it for each sharing). Is this possible now? -

It is helpful to be able to set a default expiration date on files shared on OneDrive with people outside the organization such as 30 days, for reasons of file-sharing best practices in case the user doesn't specify an expiration date for the sharing. However, it's critical that the admin also be able to choose whether users within the organization can set expiration dates beyond the default date to meet the needs of the file they are sharing.
(As a point of feedback, I spent an hour on the phone with one of your customer service representatives trying to understand if it's possible for a user within our organization to set the expiration date for a particular file past the date set on our OneDrive Admin Center for the default expiration for files. After an hour, I just had the answer that this is not possible and the Microsoft help representative did not provide me with a way to submit feedback on the call after I asked multiple times.)

Hi. A colleague of mine has shared a Microsoft One Drive link and when I enter my email id, it states "Unable to send a code. Wait for a few minutes and try again". This problem has been persisting for the past few hours. Please help

Well not quite, expiring links are only for anonymous links. In organizations that have strict security we do not allow for anonymous links but we want to the ability to expire links at the same time.

and closely related to this, the ability to password protect a (shared) folder would be very useful!

Please taking this input very seriously. It would be nice if you would generate short urls like onedrive.com/d3f/xDfjs83xfk this is out of control https://your-organization-my.sharepoint.com/personal/your_email_address/Documents. Keep it short and simple. Move OneDrive away from SharePoint?!!. It was designed for a Business collaboration tool not to be repurposed into a cloud storage platform. This move made absolutely NO sense just to save money and time. What a half baked idea!
Please build one platform, add both authentication support for Microsoft Account and Office365 or SSO. and OMG use a non-sub domain web site like just plain onedrive.com.
Agreed expiration urls are a key needed feature. Just make the app have similar features to box.com. I'll probably just use box.com instead, unless Microsoft gets it together.

This idea could be merged with this one:

It's probably a deal breaker for me even though OneDrive ties in nicely with my WLM contacts. I need an expiry date for at least some of my important future uses
