OneDrive Support for D750 NEF files
There is now support for viewing RAW (NEF) files from Nikon D750 (NEF files from other Nikon DSLRs works fine).
We’ve recently updated the file formats we support. See this blog post for additional details.
D7500 NEF files still not previewed.
For .NEF files from my Nikon D7500, the file previews are displayed after you upload them for THAT SESSION, but when coming back later they cannot be displayed.
This is going to make me migrate ALL of my data to a different platform if this isn't fixed soon.
Not anymore it doesn't
it doesn't work for Nikon D90 and D7200
where's the bug / gap?

NO! It is NOT done. Support for Nikon DSLR is NOT implemented yet.
3 years and you still can't get it right.
This is NOT done and OneDrive still does NOT support NEF Thumbnails for many models of camera ie D5500.
If you think it is done, think again. STILL WAITING !!!!!!!!!!
No it does not work for NEF Nikon D5500.
Error "Hmmm looks like this file doesn't have a preview we can show you".
OMG!!! This thread was actually updated and it actually works. I was able to finally see a thumbnail of my D750 RAW files on my OneDrive mobile app. I'm in shock, now if they would just bring back the unlimited storage they so kindly ripped away from us Office 365 subscription holders so many years ago I could actually have a use for OneDrive again.
No change, apparently Microsoft is not interested in what customers need. Too bad, but always the same start something good and then they ***** it up.
( Keine Veränderung, anscheinend interessiert das Microsoft nicht was die Kunden brauchen. Schade, aber immer das gleiche die fangen was Gutes an und dann versauen sie es. )
Change to Google Drive. Much much better. And you can view RAW image thumbnails in your folders!!!!
Any progress on this to share? Coming up to three years of thinking..
If you think it can't get any worse...
Not only that the Nikon D750 is not supported, but also the extension *. dng from Adobe Lightroom.
It seems that after years now the nef format is managed by onedrive...thanks
Apparently you don't know the difference between JPG, PNG, PDS, TIF and RAW files otherwise you wouldn't make such a suggestion. Absolutely unacceptable is the statement. Too bad that the other clouds have no problem with it but Microsoft (a powerful company) doesn't do this. But after what you said, I kind of understand that you can't handle it.
If you have visited your OneDrive UserVoice service you will see that there has been a topic concerning RAW files (NEF) for a long time. I have already written there and not only me, but I didn't use it. That's why I wrote to you.
Then that's done for me as a photographer, away from Microsoft products."
I can't do that....
Super Answer from OneDrive Support
"Previewing RAW files is often not possible at this time. We do not currently have any official information about when OneDrive will support it. To get an optimal preview of your files on OneDrive, please save them in a different file format (JPEG, PNG, etc.)."
MICROSOFT IS RUBBISH!!!!!!! This really is not good enough. There are loads and loads of cameras Nikon and others that you do not support for raw image thumbnails etc.
We have been asking for over 2 years for this support. GOOGLE can do it. Microsoft is really behind the times. I counted over 50 separate posts asking for raw support for their cameras. If you added up all the votes on all the posts it is thousands of people requesting this. Thinking about it was put on 2 years ago and still nothing.
After more than 2 years, are you still only thinking about it? Or not even that?
Absence of NEF preview causes huge inconvenience and waste of time.

The lack of NEF preview support is very annoying. Every time I search a picture, I have to sync the whole folder. I even started to use a workaround and put a small preview image folder in each NEF folder to look it up there and then select the NEF file in the parent folder.
Please add the NEF support Microsoft. Not having it lame as **** for this cloud storage.
There is still no solution! Today I contacted support directly, let's see what I get in response. If this is not resolved soon, I will have to change and abort 365. I was thinking about the drop box, or do your have another suggestion for where to go?
