I suggest you ...

Filenames with a dot [.] symbol prefix

Consider enabling OneDrive to accept files beginning with a dot/period [.] I don't make them myself, but I have one or two applications that do. I have tried repeatedly to upload them, but OneDrive says “OneDrive file names can't start or end with '.' (dot) symbol”. It does however, accept folders that begin with a dot symbol [?] Windows Explorer has handled both quite happily ever since the old file naming conventions were relaxed..

Yeah ... working with a Git repo in OneDrive isn't fun. I was hoping I'd be able to walk away from coding on my desktop, grab laptop on the way out, and pick up where I left off when I get to my destination. Sometimes I need to edit .git files; while other times I just want to commit after a few more changes.
