When OneDrive for business working with Os X El Capitan?

You can now use the OneDrive Mac sync client to sync your OneDrive for Business files, including on OS X El Capitan. You can learn more about this here: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Get-started-with-the-OneDrive-for-Business-Next-Generation-Sync-Client-on-Mac-OS-X-d11b9f29-00bb-4172-be39-997da46f913f?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US

Please Microsoft, I think we have asked you enough now to make OneDrive working with OS X El Capitan! Show us why we should choose Microsoft by starting to listen to your customers.

I was trying to find the "Onedrive business app" on the app store but after I followed the direction from the above link step by step, I was able to open the Onedrive business using the Onedrive personal app. Thank you for the help!

Crashes after finding files it doesn't agree with, doesn't sync with Sharepoint team-sites. Given the way it's licensed as part of the subscription, not sure MS really cares about doing it well. Best to avoid as the cost to end-users and IT support teams is too high.

Just to add to my previous message, i've found an app that does the sync for the SharePoint Team Sites on the app store: "Beckfish Sync Client for OneDrive for Business".
For me, it's really unthinkable that a 3rd party tool can provide this and the official Mac client can't ...

Is it me or even with the last macOS client version 17.3.6389 (0415) we cannot sync Sharepoint Team sites files?
Why is this still not implemented? This one of the most important features on a company environment ...

To quote from the page linked to by Jason, since my company uses "OneDrive for Business to sync SharePoint site libraries or on-premises instances of OneDrive for Business" the "next-generation" app doesn't work for me. So no, it's not done. What can I do?

+1 to all this trouble with OneDrive.
If I restart the computer, or the sync client, syncing files will recommence but will pause after uploading about about 20MB or so and go no further. Files I've uploaded online have downloaded, but not reliably.
Looking forward to a fix.

One drive for business using the onedrive app from the app store was working until the latest office update. OneDrive loads both personal and business menu bar icons but then the business icon quits. this was all working and now it doesn't.

This solution is definitely not for MAC users. Since all MAC disc's default to case-sensitive mode, which means that file.txt is a different from File.txt. Even if you don't have files that use the case-sensitive mode, the installation of Onedrive for Business will fail, because you are not able to point to a directory on the disc where Onedrive for Business can save your files.
I believe that Microsoft has done a really bad job for MAC users, and I will state that the current OneDrive for Business program is useless.
I will personally use Dropbox instead, which is a shame, since we pay for the OneDrive for Business via our Office365 subscription, but we cannot use it on our MAC's -

Only if your OS-X disc is not using a case sensitive disk format. This is the default for Mac's, but you cannot configure Onedrive for Business to use that. The configuration will fail with a message telling you that install is not permitted on a disk that has a case-sensitive format.
So on most Mac's it will be impossible to install onedrive for use.
Thats really bad .... -

Will there still be a version that doesn't require extra terminal command installs? Would be nice to be able to add this to our self service portal.
