Give us back our storage
Recently, a blog post was announced detailing that you would be reducing our free and paid storage. Only 1TB for Office 365 customers, and only 5 GB for free customers. I have been a long-time OneDrive fan, but after this upgrade I can no longer recommend it as my promised storage has been taken away. Some of us actually store a normal amount of stuff in OneDrive. Why makes us pay for those who went over the top?
In November we made a business decision to reduce storage limits for OneDrive. Since then, we’ve heard clearly from our Windows and OneDrive fans about the frustration and disappointment we have caused. We realize the announcement came across as blaming customers for using our product. For this, we are truly sorry and would like to apologize to the community.
While we are not changing our overall plans, we’d like to clarify what we are doing for customers impacted by the changes and share a new offer which we hope will go a long way in making the situation better for our biggest fans.
Office 365 Home, Personal, and University subscriptions will continue to include 1 TB of storage. Any subscriber who received additional storage as part of our unlimited offer will keep it for at least 12 months. For anyone unhappy with the decision to not offer unlimited storage, we will offer a full refund.
For customers of our free service who have over 5 GB of content and who are directly impacted by the storage change, we will offer one free year of Office 365 Personal, which includes 1 TB of storage. These customers will receive an email with redemption information early next year.
In addition, for our biggest fans who have been loyal advocates for OneDrive, we are adding a new offer that lets you keep your existing 15 GB of free storage when the changes happen next year. If you also have the 15 GB camera roll bonus, you’ll be able to keep that as well. From now until the end of January, you can sign up to keep your storage at the link below.
We are all genuinely sorry for the frustration this decision has caused and for the way it was communicated. Thank you for sticking with us.
COMPLIMENTI ALLA MICROSOFT PER LA SERIETA' DIMOSTRATA !!

Hello. I had renewal on the Promotion till January 31th 2016 that the changes don´t take affect to my account. The System of Microsoft don´t record my renewal for the promotion but I get the Windows where Microsoft says that the changes don´t affect to my account!
I write to the onedrive support and the people there don´t want make a solution for me. Only that I can renewal for a free office 365 for a year. But I want a solution for space which will be take affect for an unlimited time period. The renewal for free office have a time limit for only one year and this is a very very bad offer. Microsoft only want to buy back the bonus space which was for a unlimited time with this offer.
"Dear People from Microsoft. I am very sad because I renewal your offer that I can keep my bonus space. It is not my fault when your system don´t register me. I want that you FIX THIS PROBLEM in my Onedrive account before my office 365 ends at June 9th 2016 because after this date the Bonus space is away from my account."
I am a customer for a very long time and never I get a problem with Microsoft! I want that Microsoft will understand that all people will go away from service from microsoft when they make customers sad. Microsoft are only can live when all customers will be glad with the service.
Dear Microsoft. In the past your service was very fine in all time periods. But now with that what you do with the customer with onedrive you make your service very bad. All customers are sad about this.
Please give back my free bonus space with unlimited time period.
How do I get Onedrive to delete everything? No point using a service I can't trust anymore. This will help kill Windows phone mind you Microsoft want it dead they've given up on it. Also never got an email about a 10gb bonus that now I've missed thanks Microsoft!
also, if i wanted to pay for mediocre service and cloud storage, I'd still have an iPhone...
The only way to punish them for this asinine business logic (aka "Hey guys, how can we make Windows Phone LESS popular today?") is to take your business to another platform (ie. Android) like I will be doing. I've loved my phone for the last 3 years (aside from Windows 10 bricking it), but why be loyal to a brand that has almost no market share and still doesn't seem to care about the few customers they do have? I can't even buy a subsidized Windows phone in Canada because no carrier will pick it up. What does that tell you....

give back my storage space or i will leave and never use again..
what to do to regain ma storage space. i didnt get mail regarding the space reduction and the petition was only up to jan.
Very very bad decision.
Douglas Pearce is dishonest. He should go into politics. I opted in and was still hacked down to 5 Gb, when I contacted Answer Desk it was a nightmare of obfuscation and lies.
JL R of Answer Desk told me the Opt in offer that expired January 31st 2016 was only good for one more year with your 15 Gb anyway. Which was the first I had heard that.
Pearce also suggests that somehow Answer Desk can opt you in if you were missed, which is not true, they will not do it.
This is a new case study I am using in my Customer Service training I deliver to hundreds of people a year.
As others have said it's honestly disingenuous to not have emailed your OneDrive users about this offer..
Disappointed in Microsoft for punishing the innocent for the few that abused onedrive. Maybe Karma will get you guys for acting like a vindictive child.
Can the 15gb storage bonus time be extended please

Yeah, well said, Patrick. The whole "limited promotion" story is totally ludicrous... if they truly did this to appease their users and apologize for the mistake they had made, then why not apply it across the board to ALL their users? Without fail every one of their users would want to be able to keep the storage limits they were initially given, so why even make it an "opt-in" offer?? Makes no sense at all!
Thank you for putting a time limit on the promotion, *sigh*.
I also want my 30 GB, is this possible. I do not use Office, only OneNote and these files are at this moment 5.15 GB.
I also want my 30 GB, Is this stil possible.

Probably no legal recourse as I guess they have the usual get outs in the terms and conditions, and if not, one of their legal team may be for the chop. I for one will find an alternative as my faith in them has been tested.
I only received a message for downgrade not for keerping the 15 gb.
I did not got any email from microsoft to sign up to retain my storage.
