Ability for OneDrive Admins to Flag Folders as "Do Not Sync"
Ability for OneDrive Administrators to flag some folders in individual users cloud based OneDrive for Business libraries as “do not sync” so that the end-user cannot check them in the Next Gen Sync Client (NGSC) for synchronization to their local machine. The NGSC should honor that attribute and show the folder as “greyed out” – possibly with a hover over pop-up message stating that the folder cannot be synchronized locally because of IT policy.
Options should be available for bulk application to all users OneDrive folders by specifying a folder name (or folder name pattern) to be flagged as non-synchronizable, or by application of a folder attribute during bulk data migration.
Files and sub-folders within the non-synchronizable folder should not inherit the non-synchronizable attribute. In other words, users should be able to move selected contents (sub-folders and files) out of this non-Synchronizable folder to another folder that can be synchronized if needed.
This is a much needed feature for VDI. If you could set do not sync on ALL folders you could enable folder redirection to OneDrive on non-persistent desktops. Or at least if you could default to "on-demand" for all folders that would be a good start.
The reserve would also be useful - enforce local copy of known folders - UE-V for example

This would help protect system from bad folders or files that were backed up and was un known they were bad at the time. Especially on startup when one drive sync's. Which when system or device is new and first time startup happens or rather, everytime, should be the choice for user to choose which files and folders are backed, restored and, when.
I think this makes a lot of sense and I support it!
