Allow files of any size to be uploaded and synced
As much as I appreciate the hard work of the Onedrive team for removing the 2GB file size limit and pushing the limit to 10GB, I was really hoping for an unlimited file size when syncing from the desktop or other localized app. I might be an edge case, but I use a competitor to sync VHD's (Virtual Hard Drives) that I use for various purposes and those are far larger than 10GB.
We have increased our file upload size to 15 GB. We continually monitor and respond to the needs of our customers.

I bought Office 365 so that I can get araid from my external HDD.
At the moment its not possible at all, because there are several files which are greater than 10 GB.
These files are HD Movies or huge archives which are around 20 GB.
But it would be great if I cloud also backup my VHD files on OneDrive to have all on one place.
Whats the idea behind this file size limit? Is it a technical reason or another one?
There are few raw video files waiting to be uploaded, each around 30GB. Make it 50GB at least if you cant stay without restrictions.
Perhaps a staggered update every couple months and a beta program for those that opt in so there is a way to limit the impact on the systems. 2GB to 10GB is a move in the right direction. Just like how they are doing UNLIMITED starting with 10TB then moving higher as the systems are tested to support it. Smart and keeps them from over promising and under delivering.
I think 15GB would be nice as the next step. Extracting a MiniDV tape to avi file is about 14GB. I have a couple of those that would benefit from being backed-up on the cloud.
I understand that I can also zip into smaller files, and that's what I've done in the mean time.
Agreed! Please remove the file size limitations. I would move from Dropbox to OneDrive but not being able to backup/upload files larger than 10GB is stopping me!
With unlimited (size) services, an unlimited number of files and unlimited individual file size should all be possible, otherwise it's not unlimited.
Personally, I think I'll be fine with 20.000 files and current 10TB data and 10GB file size, but that's now. What happens in a year or 10 I don't know, and I plan to continue using OneDrive service for a longer time.
Should be merged
Google drive is 1tb file size limit and Dropbox is unlimited.
I totally agree! Maybe could Microsoft change it from 10G to at least 1TB?!?!? That would be a huge help because I have so much one drive storage that I want to use with massive video files!
can't you split your VM images into 2GB files. VMWare does this by default on a Mac, making backups in Azure easy.
