iOS Camera Roll Backup Bug
Not all of my images/videos in my camera roll are successfully backed up in OneDrive for iOS even though I have the Camera Roll Backup feature turned on and the status says "up to date".
I ended up having to copy all the images off my iPhone to a PC and do a folder diff with my OneDrive CameraRoll folder. What I found was occasional photos taken between Aug 2014 an Jan 2015 were not present in my OneDrive Camera Roll.
Before manually finding the differences, I was able to visually spot some missing photos in the OneDrive app. I tried signing out and even deleting and reinstalling the app to see if it would pick up the missing photos, but it didn't.
Please fix, it was very unnerving to think I almost lost photos by deleting my iPhone Camera Roll because I thought it was all backed up to OneDrive
Hi, folks. We know about this issue and are working on it. The best way for us to help you is to have you send feedback (and logs) directly from the app. You can shake your phone or send the bug report through Settings / Help & Feedback.

Why can't I vote on this? This bug is forcing me to move to another service. I trusted OneDrive to backup ALL pictures from my wife's iPhone, and now she told me many are missing from last year. She has lost all faith in OneDrive, and now I must find another solution. This is very disappointing.
I facing the same problem. I uploaded my camera roll from the iPhone and it was available for a few days on my surface 4 pro. Now all pictures disappeared but camera upload in OneDrive says that everything is up to date. I found the files in the recycle bin, but couldnt restore them because they are apparently already existing.
After nearly a year there should be solution for this issue or not?
Sent feedback from the app.
Photos not displaying or syncing sine October2015

a key feature - backing up photos - and it's flagged as "not right now" over six months ago and still not working right. If I open the OneDrive app and leave it in the foreground it will eventually upload recently taken photos but the background upload feature appears to never work. Have sent a bug from the app but not holding my breath

I usually upload pictures before deleting them from my iPhone. So... guess what!?
Lost many of them. Right now I have to check one by one if they're uploaded.
And, if not, I can't do it manually. Very disappointing!
Same problem--could not 'see' photos and could not open docs. But just updated and seems ok.
Been having this problem too. Didn't notice there was a newer version of the app (17th Dec). Once updated everything was working as expected
Yep, the app stopped working on my iPhone 6 after 9.2 was installed. Just get the turning wheel on everything.
Add me to the list. I'm seeing the photos on my Windows 10 Desktop but not on my iPhone 5s with iOS9.2 Seems that thing failed with the iOS9.2 update. Very frustrating...especially since I had a business need to use the OneDrive features. It let me down...big time.

I am having the same problem---I see the mountain top in my IPad and my smart phone---I can see my pictures in my lap top
I'm experiencing the same bug, no pictures showing just the mountain placeholder. It took nearly a week to upload my data to onedrive and was really pleased being able to access my pictures on both my iPhone and my iPad.
Yesterday I experienced a crash of the onedrive app on my windows 10 desktop. The crash happened when I was copying a load of files to onedrive (the folder on my PC). I realised just after copying that I didn't need some of the folders and deleted them. It was at this point the OneDrive app crashed with an error.
The app closed and when I signed back in It wanted to merge my onedrive with my local drive (which took nearly 24 hours to complete). Since that point when I log on to my iPhone or iPad to look at pictures I just get the placeholder and not the image.
I am experiencing the same problem today as Bryan Gregory below, no photo showing, just the mountain
All of my photos that have backed up to my owned rive app on my iPhone 5s are not displaying why??????

On iOS App running on iPhone 6 - When I tap "Open" on on a photo stored on OneDrive, I only see the generic photo logo (square frame with triangle mountain). When I hit Save Photos it says "Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again in a few minutes. The affected item is: ...". Send Photo generates the same error. Open in another app generates the same error. App says "Camera Upload / Up to Date" but when I search OneDrive on my computer for those photos, it can't find them.
System Details - iPhone 6. iOS 9.2 (updated 12/14/15). OneDrive also installed on Windows 10 home computer.
Finally (side note) When/If this finally works ... I have no idea which folder those photos are being uploaded into. I've got 50 Gig of data on my OneDrive and there doesn't seem to be a way to specify a destination folder for photos uploaded from an iPhone.
Im having same problem. Why do downloads stop randomly. Im trying to backup photos to one drive and randomly stops downloading from iPhone
when is this going to be fixed? Onedrive app just randomly not uploads some photos and videos!
What's the status of the bug fix? Looks like this problem goes way back. No Christmas bonus from me!
