iOS Camera Roll Backup Bug
Not all of my images/videos in my camera roll are successfully backed up in OneDrive for iOS even though I have the Camera Roll Backup feature turned on and the status says "up to date".
I ended up having to copy all the images off my iPhone to a PC and do a folder diff with my OneDrive CameraRoll folder. What I found was occasional photos taken between Aug 2014 an Jan 2015 were not present in my OneDrive Camera Roll.
Before manually finding the differences, I was able to visually spot some missing photos in the OneDrive app. I tried signing out and even deleting and reinstalling the app to see if it would pick up the missing photos, but it didn't.
Please fix, it was very unnerving to think I almost lost photos by deleting my iPhone Camera Roll because I thought it was all backed up to OneDrive
Hi, folks. We know about this issue and are working on it. The best way for us to help you is to have you send feedback (and logs) directly from the app. You can shake your phone or send the bug report through Settings / Help & Feedback.
Use Photo Sync on iOS and let go of this crappy AND slow app...

Unable to upload photos from my camera roll to my Onedrive, iCoud backup is on. Very frustrating
my uploads have just stopped ...just after i bought more one drive storage. every time i plug my iphone in it tells me there are no new photos..can you fix this please
When is this going to be fixed. ? It is very annoying.
I have 4981 photos in my Ipad mini 'Camera Roll' and have automatic upload turned on. But it only uploads a few at a time. Why won't it just go ahead an do it when the Ipad is not doing other things?
I have onedrive on my ios4s smart phone. I was in the process of backing up a bunch of pictures on my iPhone and the back up stopped with 36 pictures left. When I click on the onedrive icon, it won't open now. Help please.

Hey there, i had this problem too, how comes its still not fixed from May 20th?
I still am facing this problem??
recently I had cause to reset my asus notebook back to its original state and all of my photos were on One drive, I backed them up to a pen drive just in case, however, when I had sorted out the reset and came to view the pictures, I was getting a message as follows:
Windows photo Viewer cannot open this picture because either photo viewer doesn't support the file format or you don't have the latest updates to photo viewer.
The file format shows as follows WP_20150127_19_16_50_Pro and when you view the properties the file shows as a .jpg image. It seems to only be the camera role files that are affected. When i access the one drive certain pictures are showing as thumbnails and others are there but only have a little picture of the photo viewer and then in the bottom right hand corner they have an icon with a pic of a pc and a cloud over it. When you click on this it just comes up This file format can't be opened?
I am at a loss what to do can you help?

I have sent feedback via the app multiple times over the last 6 weeks and receive the same carbon copy endless-loop email response back i.e. the usual upgrade-to-the-latest-version
They fail to read the case notes, and I continually state that I have done this.
There also seems to be no direct support for this either.. When I go to the online support chats for OneDrive they either don't know about it or support the desktop version only and aren't "equipped" with that knowledge.
In fact one guy (Julian B) helpfully suggested I contact Apple as it was their application issue and didn't even know Microsoft wrote apps for iOS / Android.
It is wanting to resync the entire library 9000+ photos / videos of over 40GB seemed to have which synced OK in late June / early July and prior.
There was an update in late July / August that seemed to break things for me.
I have removed and reinstalled the app as well to no avail and running the latest 6.0.2.
As a paid subscriber, there should be better support options available and resolutions offered.
Has anyone still got the same issues or managed a workaround?
Try disabling and re-enabling the camera backup.
Using 5.7.7 and still having this issue as some pictures are not uploaded, do not appear in the list of "new" pictures...but OneDrive upload now 431 old pictures that were already uploaded before..!!
Office 365 subscription is in my point of view a good thing but I would like to have it fully working and not playing "loto" with the upload of the pictures... Any changes that it works fine once ? Using iOS 9.0.1, iPhone 6
A couple of questions:
1. Is there any way for me to know how many photos I have on OneDrive ?
2. What happens if I delete a picture on OneDrive ? Will it upload it back again from my device ?
3. I have 3 devices connected to the same OneDrive account. If I have the same pictured on 2 of my devices (shared) will I have 2 copies now on OneDrive or they know to recognize duplications ?
I subscribed to Onedrive a week ago. It uploaded my photos back to August 2012, but did not upload previous pictures
Any idea what should I do ?
Still aving the problem of camera upload just stopping. its been weeks and 350 photos will not upload. What must i do?
this has just happened to me also. 3 photos just dont appear on OneDrive and then it starts up again?
It's backed up some photos from iphone but over 300 not backed up and no videos? Not solved my storage problem so seems pointless if not saving old photos already on the device .....its saving newly taken photos though .... anyway of getting them all to be backed up or not.?
Grant - I'm pretty sure your wife is going to leave you because of the massive argument.... perhaps control your temper next time..
Wtf!! My wife said some photos were missing & I didn't believe her - it caused a massive argument - I said do you really think a massive company like Microsoft would allow such a thing - they have teams of people testing this stuff - paid for with all the money they made forcing people to buy windows 2003 - now I realise she was correct - there are countless holiday photos gone - photos of my children that will never be seen again cos we deleted them believing they were safe - thanks a flipping lot
Btw. Pls stop changing the file names
I recently had the same experience, but when i updated the app just now, the app tried to backup photos that was skipped previously. Good updates. Thank you microsoft.
