OneDrive for Business - Implement shared folder syncing to desktop client
We need the ability to sync folders that have been shared by another Onedrive for Business user with the desktop client. You just rolled this out for personal OneDrive, but it seems like it's more important for Onedrive for Business.
We’ve recently rolled out support for syncing your shared OneDrive for Business folders and Team sites (including O365 Groups). You can read more here: https://blogs.office.com/2017/01/24/onedrive-brings-new-file-collaboration-and-management-features-to-the-enterprise/ Thanks!

I have a work around:
I use the next gen sync client to sync my ODFB folders and the old ODFB client to sync a shared folder. It appears in Windows Explorer as a Sharepoint folder, but other than that it seems to work.
This would be very very helpfull as we have several clients that need this functionality as the OD4B client really sucks regarding replication. I can't add the shared folder to the business client as there are to many files. COme on Microsoft do something about it.
Suggestion? This is common sense and a necessity!
still waiting on this functionality...
Not a suggestion, do it already. This was mentioned a thousand times in the other thread for OneDrive and totally ignored
I agree! Come on Jason, stop thinking about it, you know this is a good idea and that you want to implement it. Why does Onedrive (personal) consistently get all the basic features? You are encouraging me to not have an Enterprise subscription, but rather to turn all my users loose to have their own Onedrive personal accounts.
We need the ability to download (or sync) a folder shared by another Onedrive for Business user. How do you like to download 70 files one by one? Just let us download the whole folder!
Seriously can't believe that this function is not available.
I was looking to move our company from Dropbox but now I can't.
Such a basic feature and it is not available.

Not just folders, but individual files, please.
We need this feature otherwise it's pretty much useless for a business.
We need this features for education ... easier way to collect and share assessments
To be honest, there are huge gaps between onedrive and dropbox or google drive.
I think implement shared folder sync is the first step to minimize the gap.
It is that important!!
Please make this feature happen asap. Thanks

This is a limiting factor for my team who uses OSX and are forced to do all document managements on the web/online portal rather than desktop sync.
I'm truly baffled how syncing shareed folders is somehow an afterthought? really?

Shared folder syncing is A MUST FOR SME who want to migrate from network attached storage to cloud storage. While 1TB storage seems alluring it become TOTALLY USELESS without the support of shared folder syncing feature.
Processing shared file/folder online is simply CUMBERSOME&RIDICULOUS from business user stance. Think about it Microsoft and get this fixed before lose more customers.
Currently unlike horizon data and SCL, one drive does not allow us to generate one URL link instead it send an invite. This do both make sense as we need to 1, make sure customer receives that mail link. 2, reply on top with our meeting summary. In the past using horizon data and SCL does not add additional work.

Wow, it's just crazy that this doesn't work. I could never have imagined such a feature missing, especially from anything called "* for business"

Couldn't agree more - crazy difficult to locate files that are shared if you have to keep going back to the web app - plus what about when operating offline- shared docs are not accessible.
MS please get this fixed ASAP.
