Show only photos from Photos folder
On wepage we have option so see pictures/photos from only the Photos folder but in Android version of OneDrive, we don't have this option when we go to the "Photos" from the mainmenu, it shows all pictures, what we dont want.
So please add that same function from webpage to app.
I’m going to open this one back up. We are working to add support to filter the Android photos view to include all photos or those only in the Pictures folder, for all users not only for Samsung Gallery Sync customers.

The only meaningful thing to tell us, then, is WHEN will it be implemented? Nothing else means anything until that question is answered. In its current form (Jan 2021), it is unusable to me (and prob, oh, a few MILLION others), and I have moved on to Google Photos and Amazon Photos, and have even hung on to my Dropbox subscription.
Microsoft needs to read these posts of this problem (that is now YEARS old), and realize that a massive number of current and potential customers WANTS to use Onedrive - and likely WOULD use Onedrive - if MS would just fix the damned thing. (ALMOST made it all the way through without cursing ... ). It just can't be that difficult - you already did it on one platform!!!

Definitely this! This is the main issue keeping me from using OneDrive App as my default photo gallery.

Maybe you could add the option to also choose what folders in the Images folder one wants uploaded automatically to OneDrive. The folders should be stored separately in OneDrive's Pictures folder, not in the Camera folder.

Maybe in 5 years we get this feature ... every **** app shows photos from camera roll and not from all folders ... We have now the option to choose-filter: all photos, one drive photos and samsung photos. THE DEFAULT SHOULD ALWAYS BE A PHOTO FOLDER. I go out, I go to other folders and I come back to the photos i must be always on camera roll. The next update is ours. (??)

Then please fix all other bugs as well:
When I select details in a photo, I cannot jump to the next photo to see the details. If I scroll back two years in the photo view, hold the smartphone horizontally once, it jumps back to the current photo.

It's hard to believe this functionality doesn't exist. I have a folder called Photos yet Onedrive insists on showing me pictures from my work folders etc. It's incredibly annoying especially as I'm paying a lot of money for this thing.

When adding this functionality for all users. Just make sure to incorporate all images. Also those from shared folders. You should also be able to view Photos from shared folders in the Photos tab.

I was hoping to move from Google Photos to OneDrive for my photo storage needs. This usability issue is the only thing preventing me from committing to the move.

There seems to be no way to control what photos appear in OneDrive pictures view - I get thousands of tiny icons from development folders, web pages and business folders that are in my onedrive but are nothing to do with my 'pictures'. Don't want to go back to Google but might have to for photos

This is not fixed - I have an Oppo Android and the photos tab is still showing *all the OneDrive root folder images* (instead of only the Pictures folder content).
Please fix it now 🙏

That's the most brain-dead decision making I've seen. You made the "feature" only for ONE manufacturer, why??? What did other phone owners do to Microsoft? Aren't we paying the same amount of money for OneDrive storage? What will it take to get this feature released for all phones?
I actually sent a feedback about this to OneDrive team and they proudly proclaimed that this feature was there for Samsungnd I should file ANOTHER ticket if I wanted for my phone. Well, **** ***.

Yea, it should only show pictures in the pictures folder by default. For instance lots of game developers for some idiotic reason insist that they store game data etc in your documents folder, so often you get a bunch of garbage images cluttering the display. Since we can't teach software developers that DOCUMENTS folder is for DOCUMENTS not a dumping ground for their software's user data, photos should by default ignore everything else BUT the pictures folder. thanks

No, it dosnt still work like we want it to work.
We want see only pictures from "Pictures folder" from file hierarchy. How it working now, is that user need to add every picture from its file hierarchy to albums.. and even then onedrive android app, dosnt show by default just for albums.
Give users option to add "DEFAULT PHOTOS FOLDER", so the Photos tab, then goes directly to there and shows only the content from that folder.
Why this is so hard to understand?

... but the filter "Onedrive-Fotos" still shows *all* Fotos on onedrive, not only from picture folder ? So, there is still this issue and onedrive NOT usable for fotos!

I have the Android onedrive app version 6.12 and I do not see how to filter to show only pictures.
Today I have thousands of technical and business images in the Android Photos section. I installed some software yesterday in onedrive and it is ridiculous that thoses images show up in the Android Photos screen.

I am also a developer. Give me access to code repository, I'll do it myself.
