Show only photos from Photos folder
On wepage we have option so see pictures/photos from only the Photos folder but in Android version of OneDrive, we don't have this option when we go to the "Photos" from the mainmenu, it shows all pictures, what we dont want.
So please add that same function from webpage to app.
You can now filter your Photos tab to only include content from your Pictures folder.

This is a glaring omission on MS

Android is really a disaster compared to Microsoft Mobile 10. I hope the problem is not an Android problem. Because, so OneDrive is not to be used for photos. I see thousands of pictures of my disk collections in my photo folder. Unfortunately, this good proposal needs 500 votes before Microsoft responds.

I have more than 4000 covers of books. Since I cannot choose to only show pictures from the picture folder all these covers show up as photos. In other words: photos shows files that are not photos (but happen to be .jpg files).
How come this is not fixed already? What is the point of auto upload photos from the phone if there is not photo album out of it - just all pictures from whole OneDrive together.

this should have been a feature for a while now. Its the only thing i dislike about onedrive tbh. For the rest its been perfect so far.
It quite frankly is ridiculous for this to not already be a feature. I download an icon pack or something and suddenly my photo feed is totally useless. Why on earth would I not be able to specify what images actually count as photos to put in a photo feed? It's 2019 guys, sort it out.

I need this Feature to. For Example; On my OneDrive is my Calibre Ebook Libery and every new Book Cover is shown under Pictures :(
Or i use scans of User Agreements as jpg, that is Not a Photo, its a scan outside the Picture Folders
Yes please. I save some portable apps on my OneDrive and everytime an app gets an update and therefore updated graphics, a lot of ugly pictures are on top of my pictures list in OneDrive for Android. MS should really put more effort in the picture gallery part of the app, it's the number one reason why I'm very close to switch back to Google Drive and the inferior Google Photos app.
Strongly agree, it is frustrating the way it is implemented now
Photos view on Android finds thumbnails, album cover art etc photo files which it shows on photos stream and makes quite mess of it. I hope view could be limited to Pictures folder only.
The directory is actually "Pictures", but yes the mobile app should have parity with web. It feels incomplete.

I agree 100%, if you have any sort of different images files in documents folder those will be shown into photos even they are not meant to be there.
Please update the app with the "show only photos" option of the PC app and website

I strongly agree. I don't want those very private images shown in the Photos tab. This is very offensive when I use onedrive App in the public area.
I strongly agree, it's extremely annoying.
This was fixed long time ago on Windows Mobile. Shame is still problem on Android
since over a year has gone bye without any comment (as is usual for sensible suggestions) - i can only share what i did:
download boxcryptor and encrypt all folders that contain images but should not be in fotos.
it is a completely a**-backwards approach to solve a problem that only exists because the OneDrive client lacks basic functionality but it works.
since i do not need those other folders on my phone there is no issue for me - but if you do you can use the free boxcryptor account on two devices and an android client is available, allowing you to decrypt and access those files on your phone too.
still an ugly and roundabout way to do things but it was the only way for me to actually have a Foto galery that merits the name on my phone.

This is very annoying. The desktop photos, ios photos app, online app all have the ability to show photos only from the photos folder - android app does not. Makes the photos tab pretty much useless if you use onedrive for anything else.
