Delayed Sync for Camera Photos on Mobile
When photo backup is enabled, OneDrive starts uploading photo as soon as its taken. There is always a chance user took blurred photos and want to delete them before they're uploaded.
Adding few minutes delay to upload camera roll photos will allow users to delete any photos which are not good.
It could be a setting in options with 5min, 10min, 15min delay in drop-down menu.
Or just give the option to sync the "deletion" too!!
Saves having to try and remember to also delete in OneDrive
Just use the "upload while charging only" function

This is very important imo. Not only to give you time to delete photos that aren't great, but also to avoid uploading sensitive data from photos. 5 minute intervals are too long for my taste, so I'd like more granular control for the delay. Maybe you come into a dangerous situation where you want to record proof without worrying they destroy your phone and the photos are gone. So, like 30 seconds delay could be better than 5 minutes in those cases (journalism, activism, domestic violence, unlawful arrest/police violence, you name it). Extreme use case, but not uncommon.
I have this same issue, also.
Some additional use cases:
On android, the camera app has an awesome portrait mode that creates a second photo with the background blurred. I often want to just keep that one and delete the original. By that time both are already backed up, so it is tedious to go back to OneDrive and delete them; especially if you are taking a few shots in one go.
Another scenario is sometimes I want to share a video (or photo) via WhatsApp - I find it sometimes useful to share the actual video/photo rather than a link to the uploaded one in OneDrive, for a few reasons: the video is often a reduced size so quicker to load/download for the recipient; the video can take a very long time to sync up to OneDrive, whereas the video sharing in WhatsApp is much quicker due to the much reduced size WhatsApp creates. The additional problem with the sync straight away, of video, is while sharing the file via WhatsApp we now have 2 uploads happening - the slow OneDrive sync and the WhatsApp upload which is slowed down by the first one..!
While there are options such as only upload while you have WiFi, or charging, during COVID lockdown, I am always at home so always on WiFi. As for only when charging, ironically the phone I have currently, the Pixel3a, has such an awesome battery life (2.5-3.5 days!!) that it can obviously take a while for the sync to occur using that option.
A setting to delay as the original post said, in some way, would be really helpful.
