Exclude Folders from All Photos View
Gents, I believe you have a major problem in the concept of your Photos tab in the OneDrive iOS app. All the photos I have uploaded to my OneDrive into separate and organized folders (over 80gb) are showing on the photos tab. This is insane. It gets extremely slow and very messy. Just as all your competitors do, we should see there only the Camera Roll pictures that are uploaded to OneDrive, and not everything! I have activated the automatic backup of my iPhone photos to OneDrive and guess what? All the photos that are being uploaded are mixed in this Photos tab along with the other several thousand pictures I had manually uploaded from my computer to a separate folder in OneDrive. I'm enjoying OneDrive so far but this is a major drawback. Please have a look at how this is handled in Dropbox. A lot more organized! The iphone camera photos are kept into a separate place in the app and in the drive. I'm enjoying OneDrive a lot, and i am planning to quit using google drive and dropbox, but please fix this asap! This is very annoying!! Thank you!! Best Regards.
We’ve heard the feedback and are going to have the option to control what content shows up in the photos tab in the mobile app. We allow you to change this setting on OneDrive.com today.

Further to my previous comment - I have just found that on the photos tab in the mobile app there are choice buttons for which photos I see. BUT when I choose Camera roll it says I have NO photos in there! Well I checked on my laptop and I definitely DO have photos in there.
This also needs to be fixed,

I initiall wrote with this comment
'on One Drive there only seems to be the option to see the photos altogether as photos in the photos option on the side bar and then I can only choose to see them with ‘All Pictures’ (out of all documents) or with ‘All Pictures in the Pictures folder’. I can’t just choose to see the ‘camera roll’. If I go to the camera roll file I have to look at each pic separately and of course with only codes this takes far too long.'
I was diected here to comment and am astonished gto find that this has been aproblem for literally YEARS and nothing done!
Agree with all previous comments. It's ludicrous that you are still yet to implement this simple, but massively effective option two years after you said it's "in the plans". Come on guys, please action this one!
please get this done on windows, android and macos, as people have been asking for 6 or more years (every one of your competitors does it - it cannot e that difficult) Thanks.
I've got around 7,000 photos I'd like to exclude from showing up here. Having my wallpaper collection and other various projects from my PC merged into the list of photos I've taken on my phone is confusing and aggregating. (I have about 5,000 photos in my Camera Roll and over 27,000 in my pictures folder, on top of all the other photos makes over 40,000 photos, I really do not want all of them in a single list, that's why I organized them into separate folders in the first place (and yes, I have sub folders under those main folders).
Mostly I get around this by just not even using the photos tab in iPhone, i just browse through files; however, to upload and check upload status from my iPhone, I have to use the Photos tab, and it's really confusing when I get all the extra photos on there that aren't related (especially if I just uploaded a batch of a few hundred photos to one of my other folders, it's got nothing to do with my iPhone status, but it makes it hard to see what is and isn't uploaded).
I'm an artist and a designer. I'm using Onedrive 365 for work, so I have a lot of images on my Onedrive. Because of that, the photo view on iOS is a nightmare to me! It shows everything and become useless. I want the photo tab only show "Camera Roll" only, because that's how it should be. Why android and webapp have this feature but not on iOS?!
Onedrive is the worst cloud storage on iOS because of this! Not recommended for artist and designer!

I got a 365 subscription for 1 month but here I go to Google Photos again, how can such a basic feature be in the request process for 2 years?

In the Web view and in the Android app there's a filter to only show items in the Pictures folder in Photo tab. That's what the iOS app needs at a minimum.

Added 3 votes. This would be very useful and can't be that hard to fix.

Bumped with 3 votes, guess this idea dies along with the closure of ms uservoice unfortunately

Come on developers, this is NOT that hard to fix!
I have tons of icons and images from dev projects in my gallery which drastically slows down scrolling.
Really thinking about a switch to iCloud simply because you are not able to fix this bug which is known since 2 years now!
Any progress on this? I mean it’s April 2021 and I still see my work images (logos, schematics etc) in my PHOTOS. These are not photos at all. This should be treated as bug not feature request in my opinion.
It still not plan in ios ?
Too many photo show in 'photo' tab
i just want to show the backup photo
Hello! It's in the plans since 2019.. When it will be functional? I feel like there are monkeys in microsoft mobile division.. How can somebody release it as it is and even don't update ASAP? I mean, you want customers paying for 365 plans but apps are terrible and people are not using it because of bad interface, nonsense behavior, not functional things.. another nice example is outlook app and google support.. I am not able to get my emails using outlook on android, always empty inbox.. I was told this is known bug, but it's 1 and half year present!

Still in the plans? Any ETA please?

It simply makes the app unusable for viewing photos right now. It is so sad, because I really like OneDrive but this is a mess for years. Why does it take so long? Or do you no longer want to implement this?
Crazy that we are still waiting for this!!!
I am surprised that the request for this important feature is already that old and not implemented yet. Without this function the pictures part of the OneDrive app really sucks as it becomes slow and messy.
This should be a simple fix. Any ETA?
It was in the plans almost 1,5 years ago, seems like its not in the plans anymore ?? Its essential!
