Local file save
Please add the functionality to save a local copy of a file that can sync back after viewing or modifying. I work in an area with no cellular service and limited wifi due to company restrictions. It would be a huge asset. Currently I use Dropbox because I don't have this functionality in onedrive. I would gladly jump to onedrive since I use office 365 for almost all productivity.
Please make an easy way for copying files b/w OneDrive & iPad & iPhone. Maintaining sync is also genuinely "very important" for modern phones with hundreds of GBs of storage. It helps reduce network load and dependency on network availability, not to mention data plan costs. PLEASE do this soon.
Please consider a simpler, more scalable architecture that is designed for good end user experience even on lower-speed lines. The user should not even see all these "contacting server" prompts even after they choose to save a file to the local drive in Powerpoint or Excel. If the user selects their local onedrive folder, it should behave as if it were a save to any other folder on the disk Even on an SSD, on lower-speed connections a file save takes several minutes while Onedrive "thinks."

I share a similar view. Everytime when I modify a file locally, onedrive prevents me from saving the same file with the same name as previously when my internet connection is excellent. I really hate the feeling that I cannot save it.
