auto upload creates folder by dates
When using the auto upload option in the Onedrive app, all images are uploaded to the same folder, even if they were on different folders on the phone.
This results in a folder with large amount of images that is hard to maintain, and takes forever to load when opened.
I suggest creating a separate folder for each month (2016_06 for example) and sort the images to different folders by date. This will make the images more organized and will solve the issue of having a huge folder with many files.

This is now supported in the latest version of the iOS app. You can modify the settings for how photos are organized in the Settings → Camera Upload

Please, please, please make this user selectable. I very much prefer to have a Camera Roll folder and sorting it out myself in my own folder structure afterwards.
With the updated folder structure this takes a ton of extra clicks and navigating from folder to folder. This should have never been implemented without it having a choice in the settings to opt-in or our of it.

Good function but please make it optional, because finding an image in a year / month folder structure without knowing the date is quite tedious.

Please remove this feature or enable the user to choose. Now it messes up my own structure and I need to move picture manually after uploading.

I hate this. now I have to go thru more steps and this new feature cannot be turned off. Thanks Onedrive, I will be looking for a new app.

It looks like this changed in a recent update and photos are now saved into folders by months. Have to say though that ruined my moms workflow for how she uses onedrive and I don't see a workaround. Guess this means it's back to Dropbox :(

How about let user set or change a default upload folder as needed

The annoying thing is it only uploads to personal Ondrive not business and does this even if the files are in itemized folders on a windows phone running windows phone 10!
I think Ondrive needs to work on a different structure for Personal, Small Business and Enterprise with Small Business setup similar to personal.

Totally agree with this.
After long time, it is barely impossible to look for a certain photo, or just open them, 'cause it takes maaany time to load
