Separate folders for each device backing up to the camera roll
If you have multiple devices that would take advantage of the camera roll there should be an option to put them in separate folders. IE if you have an android phone, ipad, etc each device should be given the opportunity to use a subfolder (Camera roll\ipad and Camera roll\android)
We’re interested in improving the experience for users of camera upload to OneDrive. Looking at better ways to organize and structure the files is an important aspect. No other updates right now.
This is a very very needed option. Camera Roll Organization does not seem like a significant programming issue. A camera role sub-folder folder should be able to be pointed to a specific device or assigned to a specific device for upload.
Please do something with that mess. All images from different apps are uploading in one "Camera Roll" folder. Making different folders for different apps would be really nice.
Do you actually think about real use case scenario's? I have two 365 accounts. One business account (no camera upload available...) and did get a second one to have just!!! the camera upload. No way of having something organized, everything ends up in the same folder. Why? Business related Flir Camera shots are now in the same folder as whatsapp pictures send by grandma. Really? Pay for two, get... not what you want. No way of knowing this up front before buying, since the Microsoft site is so intuative... NOT
Ryan Hoge, please give a normal answer and fix this!

Even more annoying is that all the pictures from various applications get saved under Camera Roll. Ummm... how is a GIF a friend shared with me via WhatsApp possibly from my camera roll? I want the GIF backed up, but sure as **** don't want my nice camera pictures messed up by GIFs. I don't pay premium for Office 365, I do it 95% for OneDrive. Had I known the sync services were so far behind google and dropbox I might have gone with less storage for better service.

When we will have the opportunity to have sub-folders for the "Camera Roll" folder?
At the moment, if I sync all my pictures (Facebook, Viber, Camera ..etc.) they're all uploaded in the same folder and it is a mess.

are you still thinking about this???
Sharing files doesn't work properly when having two accounts for husband and wife, where you want to have ONE folder structure with all family documents. Hence you need to use a single OneDrive account. That implies that both my wife's pictures and mine end up in the same folder. Very annoying! Please create separate folders... (and while you working on this, try to come up with a proper solution for a family folder where the entire family can upload NEW files from their own account in the same folder!).
The statements of the admins are really miserable.
This feature would help all users who want to save photos from different devices. But Microsoft is probably more interested in selling premium subscription for each device......
Any updates? This is really annoying!
Is this really still not a thing, how long does it take to start looking at something?? 3+ years I guess
I too was looking for instructions on how to make photos from different phones backup to separate folders. Search lead me here. Stunned to learn such a simple concept is not available on onedrive ... and that Admin has been lamely looking in to this for nearly 3 years.

I was looking for answer for this question and came to this discussion. This is must to have feature. Not sure why onedrive does not have this yet.

Well, it's been 3 years, maybe if we wait another 3?
Any update on it? I am also looking for this solution
Make this happen, paid customers want it!
This would be a good feature. Can't understand why it is not possible. Come on MS!

Is this a joke?
How hard is to add a radio button to an app to then select a new folder for each device...
Microsoft... what are you doing I'm about to jump ship to google this is insane
