Separate folders for each device backing up to the camera roll
If you have multiple devices that would take advantage of the camera roll there should be an option to put them in separate folders. IE if you have an android phone, ipad, etc each device should be given the opportunity to use a subfolder (Camera roll\ipad and Camera roll\android)
We’re interested in improving the experience for users of camera upload to OneDrive. Looking at better ways to organize and structure the files is an important aspect. No other updates right now.

You guys just need to go to your online OneDrive account and rename your Pictures folder to something else. I renamed mine to "CellPictures." As soon as I did that, it fixed the syncing errors. Your photos from your cell will be uploaded to the new renamed folder, and the pictures folder from your PC or other device will be uploaded into the new "Pictures" folder it will create.
Did anything ever come of this?
Because I set up photo folders, etc. before I upload photos, I don't have this problem. I don't want auto upload because that takes too much of the battery. So I control the upload myself.
Yes, please allow me to separate/rename Camera Rolls. I don't want to fill up my SP3 with pictures and videos from my phone, so for now I'm forced to tell my SP3 to save photos to C:
Please Microsoft.... Easy feature to add. I would prefer to keep paying for my onedrive as it's a pain to swap services.

Hi, I just begun to use Onedrive and am slowly incooporating it into my different devices. I have several private devices (Ios & Android) and one business phone (Ios). Since I'm working with manufactoring quality I'm taking a lot of pictures and found that using Onedrive with my business account would be a perfect way to transfer taken photos to my computer. But what do you know, that function is not supported by the business version of Onedrive, why? After login with my private account I noticed that the pictures from my business phone are mixed with the pictures from my private devices, all in a big mess. So I too ask the question, when will these issues be solved? I thought a company like microsoft would be in the front edge with user friendliness!
Thank You in advance for a quick respons

One year since "we're starting to look at this" and still camera rolls from multiple devices get dumped into one big mess instead of in subfolders by device name. How much of a mess? Try restoring images to a particular device after a hard reset... Something is wrong with Microsoft's management and corporate culture when even simple, widely known UX annoyances are left unresolved for so long.

Have you guys done anything about this? Its kinda a mess...
11 months on and still no folder solution?
But as an option, not mandatory..

Without a userdefined folder, the hole camera upload feature is useless, if you have more than one camera device that should sync with OneDrive. With the current version you end up in a nice photo mess desaster.
Where are we with this?

just a way to define/override the upload folder would be sufficient
Use device name as folder name
9 months later. How's it coming Microsoft? It seems like separate upload folders shouldn't take quite this long.
Soooooo.... Where are we with this?
This would be a great feature. no update yet for this to happen.
It make me use onedrive.

Any updates on this? Would save a lot of headaches -- I'm trying to get all of my children to sync their devices to OneDrive. I've been very impressed with the ease of use and reliability.
This one change request would make the OneDrive experience even better!
I don't get how with all the developments and updates to Windows and technology, especially with Windows 10 out now, having a "'Camera Upload; ON, OneDrive folder to store files for device; pictures/mobile/iphone or pictures/mobile/android" is an extraordinary or a very difficult-to-implement feature. And for all those who prefer one camera roll folder, they can just have a 'Default' location. This 2015, the most advanced year to date. Step it up Microsoft, no need to be cynical about cross-platform performance.
Please make an option to allocate different folders for automatic photo uploads by multiple devices. This simple tweak will lead to a massive improvement in user experience. OneDrive is fantastic, but personally this is THE ONE THING that deters my experience.
