Make OneDrive 64 bit!
Make Onedrive 64 bit! Simple as that! 32 bit Onedrive process on 64 bit OS in 2016 is simply unacceptable!
15,441 votesWe’re currently validating the 64-bit version of OneDrive internally. We have not yet started rolling it out to public rings. Stayed tuned for more info soon!

Reassess the possibility to ignore or exclude selected OneDrive folders and files from the sync process.
It would be great to be able to ignore or exclude selected files and folders within the OneDrive folder from syncing. It has been requested a few times before and solves user problems in a variety of areas: from software developers having problems with temporary build files and node_modules folders, through users who want to ignore sync problems (or issues like waiting days for a file to upload on a slow connection) by ignoring files in sync, to users who want to ignore files and folders created by applications, especially photo applications. There are many use cases where this feature…
7,733 votesThis feature has rolled out for files (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/onedrive/use-group-policy#exclude-specific-kinds-of-files-from-being-uploaded) and we are looking to expanding it to folders in the future.

Syncing over LAN
This would allow multiple PCs / Devices with the same OneDrive account to sync over the local LAN network. This makes a huge difference when setting a new PC (or restoring one) as you can transfer 100's of gigs over the LAN much faster and without impacting your Internet bandwidth cap.

Allow OneDrive for Business folder to be renamed
The main OneDrive for Business folder cannot be renamed, apparently because the path for syncing would break.
This is limiting and becomes very confusing for employees when sharing files with colleagues, as SharePoint creates folders with the same name in the computers. People don't remember which is theirs and which is shared.

Verrrrrrrrry Slow
OneDrive is pathetically slow with uploads. For at least the last two weeks, it's been closer to dial up speeds. It can take hours to upload 500 meg. Historically, I haven't seen uploads faster than very low broadband speeds. I have a decent broadband connection - can stream HD movies and do other things simultaneously. I'm truly sick of it. What's more amazing...I'M A PAYING CUSTOMER. I'm not just using the free version. I would expect slower speeds if I were only using the free version. But to pay money and get this, pitiful.

Allow priority settings for files being uploaded
I'm currently uploading a high amount of data (I selected all the files I wanted and copied them to onedrive folder) and it's taking a lot of time. The problem is that some files are more important to me than others and I need them to be uploaded first. It would be great if I could make certain files/ folders that are being uploaded a priority so that those files with higher priority will be the first uploaded (for example, bittorent has this option when downloading files). It would take me a lot of time to cancel the upload and…

To enable folders from different hard drives.
If you have more than one hard drive in your system. I'd like to option to add that folder to the sync process instead of coping it over to the OneDrive folder. That way, every added file to that folder on separate hard drive will be synced.

OneDrive indexing for WIndows Search
I am not sure I am at the right place to post this, but since some Microsoft engineer said here would be a more appropriate place for my post in Microsoft Community, here it goes (don't shoot me if this is considered cross posting):
Prior to installing the Fall Creators Update on my Windows 10 machine last week, all my files stored in any of my OneDrive subfolders were indexed and fully searchable through Windows Search. For example, entering ‘content:management‘ in the upper right search box would return all the documents (PDF, Word, etc.) that contained the word ‘management’.

Improve the feature of synchronizing more than 100,000 items on a stable basis for OneDrive.
I am aware of the behavior the restriction mentioned that the sync performance will possibly deteriorate when the stored items in the library exceed 100,000 items more. However, I need to operate this process frequently so that I wish the feature will be improved enables sync more than 100,000 items on a stable basis as soon as possible.
Although I have concerns about if the synchronization is going to be impossible to proceed unexpectly, but so as MS described as "We are working on optimization of OneDrive to improve processing of many Libraries." below the Reference information.

Enable sync client (NGSC) to allow editable syncing of document libraries with secondary versions turned on
Comparable to the described problems in this post https://onedrive.uservoice.com/forums/262982-onedrive/suggestions/17864110-enable-sync-client-to-allow-editable-synching-of-t the NGSC is not able to sync libraries (neither SharePoint nor O365-Groups), that have secondary versions turned on. The synced files are write protected and can’t be edited by library owners or other write-permitted users.
This really restricts the possibilities in scenarios where companies use the secondary-versioning and publishing-to-full-version-feature to secure the presentation of content in document libraries and keep content-producers productive.1,182 votesThanks for the suggestion!

Add option to avoid OneDrive from changing Excel references to other files
Everytime you link an Excel workbook to other workbook, OneDrive changes the reference to the file, making reference to an online files. However, if one the Owrkbooks are in differente folders inside OneDrive, the link will break, even if you try to open the file in the computer containing them. That is a HUGE problem

Choose "Sort By" default in OneDrive
Being able to change the default option for sorting folders by name, date, etc. yourself. Currently I have to go to each folder and choose how I want to sort the contents but would like to set a default (for example name ascending) and it will always show files within each folder in the same way

One Drive Known Folder Move
Do not sync shortcuts (.lnk) from Desktop Folder to onedrive when using Known Folder Move This causes duplicate shortcuts if you set up a new device and sync. If you have the same shortcuts on the desktop as your original machine you will then get a "Copy" shortcut from the sync

Add support for authenticated proxies
The OneDrive desktop client currently doesn't work on networks with authenticated proxies. This makes OneDrive useless in these kinds of environments.

Prevent sleep until sync is done option
It would be nice to have an option to have OneDrive app prevent the computer to go to sleep until sync is done.
Typical situation is when you just added a large flie/folder to your computer and it will take time to upload. The computer is likely to go to sleep before sync is finished, and in consequence files are not online as fast as you might want. (and/or you can't just let your computer upload at night when bandwidth is not needed)
It would be nice to add an option to have OneDrive preventing computer to go to sleep…

Bug: Explorer reselects entire filename when editing the name of a newly synced file
What's the Bug:
This bug causes File Explorer to select all the text of a filename you are editing while you editing it, which causes a single keystroke to erase the text of the filename if you are not paying attention. When It Happens:
It happens when you immediately try to rename a file after performing a file operation but before the OneDrive client syncs it. For example, it happens if you copy a file and quickly rename it, or if you save a file and then quickly rename it. It appears as though Explorer incorrectly reselects the entire filename…651 votes -
"Refresh OneDrive" - Righ click Mouse option to prioritize File/Folder update Problem: I have several files changed during the week in o
Problem: I have several files changed during the week in one computer. During the weekend I use a different computer, but I want to work on a specific file/folder, but I have to wait OneDrive to update all different files before it gets to the file I want to use on that moment.
This reduces my productivity drastically.IDEA: Microsoft implement an Refresh button (Right_click where my file should be updated -> Refresh Onedrive). So, this action would prioritize Onedrive to download/upload the files at this folder. And keep the rest of the update for later.
Thank you!
