  1. On Windows Phone, allow "sharing" from within apps (e.g. from the photos app) to onedrive *business* accounts

Currently, on Windows Phone (8.1) "sharing"/"sending" from within an app (e.g. photos) lists onedrive as an option. This is great.

However, this workflow works only for uploading to OneDrive Personal. This is not great. An option to share directly to OneDrive Business would be greatly appreciated.

A workaround for sharing to OneDrive business is to switch to the OneDrive app, select the OneDrive Business account and add the file from within the onedrive app manually. This does work in most circumstances, but is much more tedious when sharing is just part of a bigger workflow that needs to be interupted…

  3. Windows Phone cannot "Copy Link" for sharing files from One Drive.

I needed to share a file from my One Drive in an email reply to a client. The workflow on Windows Phone does't allow you to copy the link after specifying the permissions to the file. After the permission "View Only" or "Edit" is selected the workflow then toggles you to the next step in the sharing workflow which is to select the client tool ( email, SMS, etc.) for sharing. It is only then the share link for the file is generated and even then the link doesn't provide copy / paste functionality to within the new created communication…

  5. Ability to save from Windows phone & Outlook.com to One Note

This idea is both for Windows Phone and Outlook.com.
Because I can't save to One Note directly from my WP that I'm constantly copying and pasting which is cumbersome and awkward. Also give us the ability to select where we want it saved in One Note.

  6. Tighter security (or info about what is being accessed) and a system-wide login

As someone who practices good password doctrine, and likes having 2FA, I'm happy that MS supports both. However, currently any app that you want to allow access to OneDrive on the phone asks you to enter your email+password+2FA*. As far as I can tell, after that the app seems to have carte blanche as to what it can do on your OneDrive.

    • The app for which happens to be on my phone.

First, I suggest that apps are forced to tell whether they do or don't have carte blanche on the OneDrive service. I would also suggest that they be…

  7. think about the integration with Skype, WhatsApp ,Contacts ,and other apps.

We know that Onedrive is seamless integration with Office ,Windows 8.1, Photo,Outlook,Calender...

but what about other Microsoft products and other apps in windows store for example:

1-are we need more integrity with Skype ?
2-are we need more integrity with internet explorer to save the history and favorite ? becouse maybe the system down or hacked how can we backup the pages from internet explorer ?
3-are we need more integrity with WhatsApp ? of course we need like the integrity between WhatsApp and Icloud in IOS.
4-are we need to backup the contacts from IOS and Android to help…

  9. Yammer "Messenger" for Windows Phone

Like "Facebook" has done with its application "Messenger", it would be interesting to provide an external mail tool for Yammer, which would help user to be more available and which would use Windows Phone notifications.

  11. More Android-like design and more iconography, not less.

Let's see who'll back me on this, I love iconography, and think that the ''image centric'' design was way more superior, and iconographic designs tend to be more feature-centric, plus it resebles the U.I. of ''Big Windows'' more.

  12. Application design

I am sorry to say but the new design has not improved the experience as it should have. The hamburger menus is still there which is annoying. I should not have to explain this to a design team. But here is the thing. Android does not have any menu other than the hamburger menu where all options are stacked. Windows phone has the '3 dots' menu already. Adding the hamburger menu makes it confusing and more importantly look like an android knock off. We windows phone users are disappointed. Please fix it fast!

  13. no material design button

As an application of this type you don't change between OneDrive business and OneDrive personal every second and you don't see the used storage every second, I'd make another swipe screen with into the graphic of used storage, the title will be " OneDrive personal" or " OneDrive business" and the button to switch to the other OneDrive. In my opinion the button in material design and the tile of the app home page are just wasted space. Plus make the transparent tile.

  14. Bring back animations to the app

The new update has no WP flip animations when diving into folders. They were great for usability, a visual metaphor for going deeper into the folders and flipping back up from them. Now it's just clunky as the interface changes with no animation. Another lovely backwards step brought over by your Android loving staff? Why don't you just get it over with and go work for Android if you love bad design so much?

  16. Latest update to WIndows Phone app has broken alignment among UI elements.

The update pushed on 12/12 brings a much wanted UI revamp, but it also has a weird alignment issue. I cannot tell if this is intended or not, but it's hard to imagine that it's intended as it does not look very good. Please make the UI elements aligned properly.

  17. Numerical sorting in Windows Phone app

Numerical sorting is used on OneDrive.com (and by default in File Explorer) but not in the Windows Phone app.

To reproduce the problem, create three sibling folders named “0”, “2”, and “11” respectively, and set the parent folder to sort items by name in ascending order. On OneDrive.com they are sorted as “0” ≤ “2” ≤ “11” (correctly), but in the Windows Phone app they are sorted as “0” ≤ “11” ≤ “2”.

  18. Enable pen support.

I have grown very used to using the pen with my Surface Pro 3--and really miss the functionality with my Window Phone. (I hate having to carry a Galaxy Note just to quickly add notes to OneNote.).
