  1. Replace or enhance Upload and Download rate settings in OneDrive for Business with LEDBAT++ to optimize bandwidth usage.

Replace or enhance Upload and Download rate settings in OneDrive for Business with LEDBAT++. This will significantly optimize OneDrive traffic to save bandwidth when the network is constrained and will allow OneDrive to work more quickly when more bandwidth is available. This would ease initial implementations when large amounts of data are being uploaded and would reduce concerns with ongoing traffic from large files.

    • Files on demand, automatic cleanup

When using files on demand over time, OneDrive will start to sync a lot of files which after some time will become inactive. Today the user would have to right-click the OneDrive-folder and select Clean up in order to stop the sync of these files and delete the local files stored on the user's device.

I propose a new optional feature. When files or folders have been inactive for a period of time (say 30 days) I would like OneDrive to automatically clean up, deleting the locally stored files and folders but still keeping them in the cloud.

      It should…

      • Make it easier to obtain Excel file path from OneDrive

When referencing Excel files held on OneDrive with Power Query you need to download the Excel file, open it, copy the path and then remove ?web=1 from the end of it. It would be great if there was a right click or ... option when selecting an Excel file in OneDrive that would give you this path without the ?web=1 on the end.

        • Admin report of One Drive status across a network

There needs to be an admin console that will report on the status of One Drive for Business sync status across a network. Use case example:
"I installed the “new” OneDrive Sync Client to about 1,000 systems today and enabled Known Folder Move. I want to be able to report on the sync status of those system" Currently there is only a PowerShell command but it doesn't work across the network to report on the status -- https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/rodneyviana/2017/06/06/powershell-cmdlet-to-check-onedrive-for-business-or-onedrive-personal-status/ The Office 365 reports in the admin center also don't report on the status.

          • Verrrrrrrrry Slow

OneDrive is pathetically slow with uploads. For at least the last two weeks, it's been closer to dial up speeds. It can take hours to upload 500 meg. Historically, I haven't seen uploads faster than very low broadband speeds. I have a decent broadband connection - can stream HD movies and do other things simultaneously. I'm truly sick of it. What's more amazing...I'M A PAYING CUSTOMER. I'm not just using the free version. I would expect slower speeds if I were only using the free version. But to pay money and get this, pitiful.

            • Label

As a OneDrive sync client user, I want to be able to use Labels instead of having to go to the online view document detail.

Unified labelling management in the Security & Compliance Center is available to configure Labels to support regulation like GDPR and start designing protection of information. Assuming you published Labels and configured DLP rules the missing feature to provide a great user experience is to have the OneDrive sync client exposing this labels on the sync client UI or as an explorer new menu.

              • Right clik sync now

It will be cool if you can force update of the file if there are a lot of thing to sync. Just right click on this file and push the button Sync now, for fast update of certain files, that you need right now.

                • OneDrive indexing for WIndows Search

I am not sure I am at the right place to post this, but since some Microsoft engineer said here would be a more appropriate place for my post in Microsoft Community, here it goes (don't shoot me if this is considered cross posting):

Prior to installing the Fall Creators Update on my Windows 10 machine last week, all my files stored in any of my OneDrive subfolders were indexed and fully searchable through Windows Search. For example, entering ‘content:management‘ in the upper right search box would return all the documents (PDF, Word, etc.) that contained the word ‘management’.

                  Right…

                  • Enable syncing of files across O365 organizations

Many customers wan't the option to collaborate with OneDrive cross o365 organization, and have the option to sync the shared files with OneDrive. Right now you are only able to sync files shared within your own o365 organization. Right now the only option is to browse to the shared link and access the files. Trying to use "sync" will result in an error in OneDrive (next gen sync client) as shown in attached file.

                    • OPTIONAL Automatically Pause Sync on Metered Connection

At the time of this writing, 06/19/2018, OneDrive sync will always pause automatically if a metered connection is detected. I understand the intention of this feature and how it can be helpful, but please make this feature optional by adding a checkbox in the settings menu that controls this feature. I think the community would like the ability to decide whether or not OneDrive automatically syncs on a metered connection.

                          • Autosave feature imporvements

Need Improvements in Autosave feature in OneDrive sync client for Windows

After protecting the Documents/Desktop/Pictures folder, when the user/software/script places a file in the C:\Users\<UserID>\Desktop (or Documents or Pictures) folder, OneDrive will not sync these local folders.

We can repro the same issue in our all Windows PC.

                            My suggestion to Microsoft is,

                            1) After folder protection, whenever a file/folder is placed under C:\Users\<userID>\Documents (or desktop/…) folders, OneDrive should throw a Notification/Warning Message to the user that this file will not be synced.

                            2) After folder protection, whenever a file/folder is placed/modified under C:\Users\<userID>\Documents (or desktop/…) folders, OneDrive client should…

                            • Any file like .gitignore to ignore file to sync for Onedrive desktop sync

I use Onedrive for syncing my development project files but every time all the libraries are uploaded to Onedrive which increases the size of the project by a huge margin.

It would be very helpful if there is a file like .gitignore implementation for Onedrive sync which will ignore files to be uploaded.

Please implement this feature in the upcoming version, it would be a great help for all of them in the developer community.

                                  • Enable sync client to allow editable synching of team sites with mandatory metadata columns

As at 23rd Jan 2017 the newly relased One Drive for Business synch client enables synching of Team sites BUT if any libraries have mandatory meta data or require check out, the synched folder/library is read only. This cripples collaboration by teams on documents. This needs to be fixed

                                    • Increase the size of files that can be uploaded

Why is the upload file size limited in OneDrive? I constantly see a multitude of changes that are supposed to benefit the user(s) but the one that may make most sense is constantly ignored. What good does it do to have all these features when we're restricted to uploading files of 15-20GB? iDrive, Amazon, Dropbox, etc. have much higher upload limits. I can't store a 30GB backup file on OneDrive because of these ridiculous file size limitations.
                                      What's the problem?

                                      • 界面有bug

                                        第一行的“已上传***MB”写反了,应该是已下载才对。

                                        • Improve the feature of synchronizing more than 100,000 items on a stable basis for OneDrive.

I am aware of the behavior the restriction mentioned that the sync performance will possibly deteriorate when the stored items in the library exceed 100,000 items more. However, I need to operate this process frequently so that I wish the feature will be improved enables sync more than 100,000 items on a stable basis as soon as possible.

Although I have concerns about if the synchronization is going to be impossible to proceed unexpectly, but so as MS described as "We are working on optimization of OneDrive to improve processing of many Libraries." below the Reference information.
