  4. Folder selection option missing during OneDrive setup

During OneDrive setup to Sync Sharepoint data to OneDrive on Windows 10 Professional laptop, folder selection option is missing and by default it selects entire library instead of giving option to deselect the folders. folder selection option was there in Windows 8.1 but the same is removed Windows 10. I don't find any reason to sync entire data though I don't need them to . Please provide option to deselect the folders during one-drive setup.

  5. Office save copy location

Can we please have a simple explanation of how one drive and office work together? If I want to create a new version of a doc I now use save copy, but it creates it in the root documents folder. Why??? Put it in the same folder I was working in! I have lost work because of this.

  6. Specific user details on "Link Clicked" notification

When a file from OneDrive for Business is shared within the organization as link. The e-mail notification sent on "Link Clicked" does not include the user details. The file has been shared internally within the organization for authenticated users only.

The notification is not useful, when the link was shared with several people, it is required to have the end user details in the notification e-mail

  7. Stop banning people for no reason

Your robots have decided I violated your code of conduct. No reason given, just an instant ban from my account. Result: 50 years of priceless family photographs gone. Vital work files gone. All because I did what OneDrive suggests and put my files in the cloud. There appears to be no humans contactable anywhere. You need to change this policy.

  8. Restored files should have a date modified equal to the last modified date of version being restored

Currently when a file is restored the modified date changes to the date it was restored. Instead, it should have the last modified date as found in the version history.

The lion share of restorations that we do are to restore a file that should not have been updated. Having a modified date of when it was restored suggests that new information was added recently.

  9. snapshot tag

The user selects a directory and actions the menu "make snapshot": OneDrive synchronizes the entire directory and saves it as an atomic snapshot that he/she can return later (like time machine).
Including all files, also non-office files.
    Optional named snapshots.

  10. File and rectory locking

One user locks a file (or an entire directory). Automatically Onedrive marks as READONLY the file (directory) so that other users cannot modify. When the owner releases the lock, Onedrive synchronizes the changes and makes the files as RW.
    Options for stealing/breaking the lock.
Useful to work with non-office files e.g. CAD.

  13. FASTER SYNC

MANY OF US USE THISONE DRIVE TO STORE OUR FILES
SOME MAY NOT WANT REAL TIME SYNC, which delay our excel working, we are happy to sync it once we close the file,

WHEN FILES / FOLDERS ARE NOT SHARED WITH ANY ONE AND ONLY ONE USER IS USING FILE THEN TRY TO SPEEDUP THE PROCESS

  14. how to upload multiple location from local machine

    Hello ,

    Subject: One drive for Business

I want to map multiple Local Folders to one drive from One drive desktop app -> settings -> select folders , but this options is not giving to add any local folders rather its showing only what already exist in one drive storage.

if I use Uploads from One drive Online browser, any further updates /addition on Laptop local folder, will not take effect.

we customers need options to select multiple folders (without dragging and moving folder physically to one drive folder ) from the select folder option and always get sync with…

  16. Automatically remove spaces at the beginning or end of a filename

Some of our customers have the bad habit to enter spaces at the very beginning or at the end of a filename. All files and folders containing those spaces cannot be synced to OneDrive.

It would be great if OneDrive would either accept those filenames or simply remove the spaces at the beginning or end of a filename (after the extension).

  20. Just add a refresh button and be done with it

"Onedrive is up to date". But it isn't up to date. last sync was 24h ago. Since then I've edited docs in Onedrive, but they haven't synced. I have to close/reopen Onedrive to get it to update.

    ADD A REFRESH BUTTON.
