Not sure if this is the same problem, but on latest versions of Windows 10 and OneDrive app, WHEN FILES-ON-DEMAND IS ENABLED, ONLY APPLICATIONS THAT RESIDE IN THE WINDOWS FOLDER SHOW STATUS CORRECTLY. So most system apps and Windows Explorer work without problems, but 3rd party apps (or even Microsoft apps in Program Files dirs, such as Sysinternals) show SYNCING STATUS (both in status column, visible in e.g. file dialogs, or as icon overlays).
IF I MOVE 3RD PARTY APPS TO WINDOWS DIR, EVERYTHING WORKS CORRECTLY IN THEM.

I have this "problem" also (I think that it is a bug in the program). I have tried reset. I have tried clearing my credentials and they both work for a little while and then I am back to the Processing Changes status with no end. All of the files that I have worked on recently are available on my home computer and my office computer, so I am sure that everything is synced and there there is nothing left to process.

And nothing helps. If I follow instructions to reset OneDrive (which takes a long time with a lot of files), the situation gets worse: from "processing 3 changes" to "processing 13 changes". It is completely unclear which files are the cause of the trouble!

I also have the problem. I have to close the OneDrive app and start it again.
