Make OneDrive 64 bit!
Make Onedrive 64 bit! Simple as that! 32 bit Onedrive process on 64 bit OS in 2016 is simply unacceptable!

We’re currently validating the 64-bit version of OneDrive internally. We have not yet started rolling it out to public rings. Stayed tuned for more info soon!

Frankly, please migrate everything to 64 Bit, even compatibility features for 32 bit - even if you have to build a new tunnel between 64 Bit support and legacy 32 bit apps. When doing so, please also take a look at migration of licensed Microsoft apps from drive to drive after system failure without reinstallation..

If you are tired of waiting for Microsoft to release a 64 bit virtual drive client, download WebDrive instead. Not only will it work with your OneDrive, but you don't need to upgrade all of your Microsoft Office desktop applications to 365. WebDrive will work fine with Office 2010. Oh, and we've had a 64-bit solution for nearly 10 years, so it's fully vetted on millions of desktops around the world.
Full disclosure, I'm CEO of SRT, developers of WebDrive.

OneDrive is simply a ********. It takes DAYS! to update data, specially installation programs. Up or download of "to install apps" for a Surface Pro 4 tablet takes 3 full days (and nights ;-))). A better choice is Dropbox: transfer of more than 120GB in a few hours....updates requires only minutes. I have 6 pc installed (including 2 Win10Pro tablets and a "big machine").

This should be 64 bit and I think it would improve performance

There is no need to make OneDrive 64 bits. The performance increase would be very minimal and it would actually use more memory (because of 64 bit pointers). Also, making an application 64 bits can actually DECREASE performance because since the code segment is bigger (due to 64 bit pointers again) it might not fit in the processor's caches anymore.

For the most part this is a stupid and ignorant suggestion. It would be much better for Microsoft to improve OneDrive to avoid using more than 2GB of memory and remain a 32-bit application since those inherently use less memory because of 32-bit rather than 64-bit pointers. I really don't want OneDrive to use more than 2GB of my RAM. I want my RAM allocated to actively run apps.

This would be nice indeed. I have a LOT of files (node_modules). Because I am unable to exclude folders (as Microsoft doesn't want people to be able to exclude certain types of folders), all my node_modules folders are being indexed and uploaded to OneDrive. Since there are so many files, OneDrive's memory usage gets over 2GB and then crashes.
Please make a decision because the product is pretty much useless for developers now. I would say there are 2 options.
1. Make the application 64-bit. Not because it is unacceptable in 2016, but because some people have more files than the 2gb memory allocation can handle.
2. Make the application use less memory, maybe by keeping an on-disk cache?
3. Let people exclude directories. I don't need my node_modules uploaded to OneDrive.I would personally say that option 2 and 3 together would be the best. But maybe there are other reasons to do otherwise. The fact is though, that OneDrive now crashes about every 2 hours, which actually is unacceptable for a product like this.

There is no point having a 64 bit operating system if all the apps are stuck at 32 bit. Aps need to reach up into higher memory to free up resources for other apps!

This isn't important and will have no impact on the performance of this kind of app. Please ignore this and put your resources toward issues that are actually impactful.
