Create a Linux OneDrive client please
I know this has been suggested before but the voting was closed.
Many workplaces have a mixed deployment and would find it useful to sync across various platforms. I use Mac, Windows and Linux every day and I'm sure that many other professionals do too. It can't be that hard to recompile the OSX version for Linux, can it?
Unfortunately we don’t have any plans to make a native Linux sync client for OneDrive at this time.
We need it
It is a real requirement.
I can use Office365 on Linux. Please make a real OneDrive client for Linux.

I recently tried several 3rd party clients for OneDrive on Linux ( see https://linuxnewbieguide.org/onedrive-client-linux/ ); they seem to work fine after basic testing. skilion's client is nice for automatic syncing, while Rclone is good for scripted copying and for mounting.
A lot of people at our University use Linux and IOS over here.
Linux support is essential for many researchers

It is really sad that they can't see how important and great linux support would be... microsoft is losing serious market by preventing linux users from using onedrive.
For me, and the Linux colleagues in my company, it would be nice to access the OneDrive storage without the need to sync. On my mobile devices (Laptop or Tablet) I have not enough space to sync our folders. A possibility for Linux to mount OneDrive would be really nice.
The possibilty to access it in different ways or with different protocols is what I understand as "Enterprise Solution".
For Example, just add something like webdav to OneDrive for Business would help us a lot!

It would be great if Onedrive became available for ubuntu and linux mint...
its a good little bit of kit, greatly helped by the search facility inside it!
Any update on the possibility of MS releasing a OneDrive Sync client for Linux?
Combine all votes for a Linux Client please.
So we can see that we reach +500 Votes.
It is really need to give Office 365 a push in Linux environment.
I would appreciate it alot!

I assume that next to sync the OneDrive Linux Client also mounts as drive and allows shell script, Python, PHP etc. read/write access (of course authenticated) as Linux/Unix engineers do automate a lot with scripts.
Strongly agree. It is highly needed, esp. OneDrive for Business. Many work is run on Linux too. Does Microsoft have any time plan for this?
