I want a place where I upload once to an Archive folder and then delete off my One Drive local computer without loosing online files.
Need an "Untouchable" secure Safe folder in my OneDrive Online account where no matter what I do on any computer connected to One Drive the Secure folder is left alone as a safe, protected Archive. If I trust it then I can store pictures and important documents for a long time there instead of having to put files on home USB hard drives which break over a few years. I lost my pictures on OneDrive because I was using two computers and I deleted the family photos of the computer I use mainly for work and they ended up in a One drive recycle bin. This led to terrible confusion getting them back so I decided not to trust OneDrive until ARCHIVING is STRAIGHT Forward no matter how many devices I use to upload and access files in my other OneDrive folder. I tried selective file syncing but this is Klugee (works poorly in abnormal, non-logical fashion). Too handle my different modes of Operation (Work and Home) I need different Archives and Sync buckets for each. I would just make a couple buckets for each mode-of-operation or each computer (users choice using mode of operation as definitive descriptor). I'd start right out and give each of my access devices its own Mode-of-Operation choices Independent from other computers and tablets I use. You still only need one Master Directory of files.
