Choose to Sync any folder from any location on my PC
Instead of forcing me to move files/folders into a master OneDrive folder, I should be able to choose to sync any folder from any location on my PC's storage.
Shame on MS for not even answer on this. Youre a loser company.
Missing that feature very much. Would be super useful to be able to select any folder on PC, for example some application user settings, etc.

Almost lost all my thesis because of the lack of this function. The Word made one version of it that it moves to that One Drive's folder and I had the original file in the original folder. Editing in a tablet and continuing in the laptop, I had two different versions and I did not know until it tried to overwrite one of those versions.
I do not want all my files on One Drive. There is no need for this. And worse: I do not want to change all my folders' tree to move to the One Driver's folder that even do not fits all my contents.
A little workaround that I am testing is to open the original file, on the original folder and activate the Automatic Save function. Only this. It sends a copy to the cloud, but not to the One Drive folder. This appears to allow to edit in my tablet and my laptop, but not at the same time, as in the Google Documents.
Other competitors can do it: Mega, Sugar Sync, Pcloud... But none of them can edit Office files, only to storage them.
Absolutely fundamental. With this feature I could solve a lot of problems in a +8000 machines upgrade fron Win 7 to Win 10. Without this, it is going to be a nightmare
There is a way to circumvent this: Junction from Folder in OneDrive to any Folder (must be NTFS).
The only limitation I have found is that the Status column is not showing correctly... not on the Target side (understandable) nor OneDrive side (looks like a bug to me), nor on the Task Symbol (always shows "Changes syncing", but no up/downloads happening).
Comparing the directories on differrent pcs also shows files are synched correctly and content is identical... except for some time stamps. They apparently do not get synched properly. Maybe that is the reason why the OneDrive Status is always on "syncing".

A basic and a fundamental need. Should be addressed ASAP in my opinion.

yes, this is the most required feature for me. Been more than a year and still couldnt find an update from MS regarding this. Eagerly Waiting. Or else Google drive would be my option till then.Wish the update comes soon.
There are several similar ideas here.
