OneDrive is pathetically slow with uploads. For at least the last two weeks, it's been closer to dial up speeds. It can take hours to upload 500 meg. Historically, I haven't seen uploads faster than very low broadband speeds. I have a decent broadband connection - can stream HD movies and do other things simultaneously. I'm truly sick of it. What's more amazing...I'M A PAYING CUSTOMER. I'm not just using the free version. I would expect slower speeds if I were only using the free version. But to pay money and get this, pitiful.
We are focused on performance of the client across various scenarios: new files, file edits, initial sync. We’ve made numerous improvements over the course of the past year and have additional work planned in this area.
I've been trying to migrate from Dropbox to Onedrive for 1 month. The client just takes forever to upload files and get stuck constantly. I had to reinstall and reboot on daily basis to upload to Onedrive.

Started using OneDrive paid version today and cannot believe how long it is taking to upload files. It's totally unworkable for me and I have no alternative than to find an alternative. Shame on you Microsoft for refusing to address this serious problem.
I have been a user of Office 365 paid account for almost 9 months now. I have been keeping track of this upload issue from last 4-5 months. It is very slow both of upload and download. Sometimes, when I need to download a specific folder direcly from the onedrive website, it is simply too slow for this age. If we look at the services provided by Dropbox or Google drive, there is no comparison. The only reason I have been using this is because it comes in the Office 365 package and for smooth sync options. But the fact that I had to wait for over 2 hours to download a 1.2GB file put me off. And I am using a 100 Mbps connection. So I am pretty sure it is not my connection problem.
As I write this, I am uploading a folder of 94 MB to onedrive through the website. It's been almost 10 minutes, and only 55 MB has been uploaded so far.
We are experiencing the same thing. Upload is crazy slow and sometimes stops entirely for hours if we don't close the app and open it again. Our support team is looking into if it's a solvable problem or if we need to change service. Used Autotask Workplace before - worked like a charm in comparisson...

I AM USING MY PERSONAL GOOGLE DRIVE account to share files with CLIENTS!!!!!

Yes, it's true. The uploading is extremely slow. I am thinking to move to Dropbox where this process is going faster.
I Can only agree. Even trying to view my OneDrive photos, let alone videos, is a pain and has mostly been so....
I guess I'll try it again after the improvements are in place. For now, it is really too slow to be useable.
It's seriously unusable. It seems a recent thing as I wasn't having any issues initially.

I have been experiencing this for several years on different top of the line android phones. You are so bad. You changed nothing or you are just too stupid to understand the issues. I sm using the business app which should allow you to work fast and collaborate....... I just cant have enough bad words to say on this app and on you guys who kerp lying that you are really doing something.
Onedrie is a huge piece of junk. I was using it for several years, but now I am switching all of my files to Google Drive as well as Google Photo for my pictures. Onedrive is just so slow to access my file all the time, whereas Google Photo has absolutely no issues to show all of them when I scroll fast. I'm gonna stop paying whatever Microsoft is doing and ditching this sh**t.

Slow, slow and slow for me too. I'm using OneDrive for business included in my subscription. I'm updloading about 15gb of new files. After 4 days (and nights...) I can't see the end.
having the same problem here in Gran Canaria. I just quitted my dropbox subscription to change to onedrive business. I'm transferring all my files (over 300Gb) to Onedrive and up to now, I think almost 1% is done in 3 full days. Like less then 1000 files in 24 hours (of 138.000 to go). Did I make a mistake switching to onedrive?
I have this issue at my house but not at work in the office. That said, any files I have this issue with on OneDrive at my house do not have the same issue if I upload to say DropBox. Driving me crazy.
I've been trying to sync up 80GB of data for 4 days now and think it is uploading at a few 10k/s. The speed of one drive is forcing me to consider pulling the plug on all online services provided by Microsoft. OneDrive is unusable.

Having the same problem and will soon have to change to something else as well as it takes over 5 min to open small files sometimes. Why has this changed and why isn't it being fixed

same here in Brazil: my internet connection its great for every app or site but onedrive. upload speed, site or desktop app, never higher then 900kbps, even the broadband could get me 7 mbps

The problem I'm getting is that it uploads 7 files at once then stops for 30 seconds or so, before uploading next 7. I've tried all sorts to try an getting working properly. A reset helped a bit, i.e. run OneDrive with /reset but still keeps blocking for 10-20 seconds. Transfer is faction of what my fibre broadband upload rate is.
