Optimize CPU usage when looking for changes
When OneDrive looks for changes on my laptop it uses approximately 40% of CPU capacity to look for changes and it takes several hours for less than 200GB on OneDrive, eating up battery power quickly. This even happens when I have not accessed OneDrive with any other device in between and if I have not changed any local file. There is huge optimization potential in this.
A first improvement would be to offer resource management options (e.g., use max of 10% CPU on mobile devices, look for changes only when plugged in)
Then there are smarter ways to track changes and look for changes that would be much quicker and resource friendly (e.g., log changes on local and central storage and sync only around these changes)
