Send links that open in explorer
When you try to copy and paste a shared OneDrive file path to someone it will not work as the path references your local profile.
When you right click and share a file from windows explorer it gives you a HTTP link which only opens on the web
Add the ability to share a link that will open in Windows explorer

I work on the app "Notion" both on my phone and my computer and there I can link onedrive files. But I don't want it to open online as it wastes time and data. I want onedrive to be able to recognize that the file exists on my computer and /or phone and opens it locally with the suitable viewing apps. This allows me to link files that exist on onedrive both on my phone and on the computer which helps me work on either devices using the same link without having to download/send each file everytime.
I agree with maddhin, when a link to a file on OneDrive is clicked Windows should recognise if the file is synced to the PC and open the local file. If the file is set to be online-only, it should ask whether to open in browser or sync it to the PC and then open it (and this pop-up should give the file size).
the http link is fine per se (as it works everywhere and on every device) but under Windows the browser should recognize that OneDrive is installed and forward to the local file instead of opening the file/folder in the browser.
Evernote, etc. do have this working and I think for a product like OneDrive/Sharepoint this function is particularly important!
