personal vault pin
Rather than unlocking personal vault using email why not use a pin? i have my alternative email account on my PC and i need it there. so basically anyone using my PC can get into the vault pretty easy.
I was unable to access my Personal Vault on my desktop yesterday because my email was down and the Code from MS didnt get through for about six hours! To use my PIN would have obviated this problem.
A pin would be more convenient as well as safer if someone had access to your computer's email or your phone to intercept the text.
I would like a pin instead of a code, at my place I have bad phone connection and messages don't go through or take a lot of time.

I agree. On a phone 2FA makes sense because it's likely always with you (Ironically you can use a PIN on the mobile app), but on a PC it makes very little sense.
What if you leave your house and forget to sign out? I almost never do that, but it has happened, and what it there were an emergency of some kind and you had to rush out making it much more likely that you would not think to sign out *and* forget your phone, which you may have security disabled when you're at home, like I always do.
Then all someone has to do to get to your most sensitive data, inside your Personal Vault, is double click it and wait for the code.
A PIN would be infinitely more secure.
Though I would not restrict it to 4 characters.
Sending a code by mail is part of 2FA and maybe... even less secure(?)
If someone indeed got as far as having figured out your 2nd email address (i.e. the one used to send the code to) it will then be easy to enter the Personal Vault.
This usually is not the case when using a PIN.
The PIN is known to the actual/real user/owner only, not to someone who figured out the 2nd mail address.
That aside, I guess using a PIN code maybe is somewhat less hassle.

On my PC I am only given the option of having a code sent to my mobile phone. Having to look at a text on my phone and then enter the code into my PC is a drag.
On my phone the OneDrive app has let me set up a 6 digit PIN.
Why isn't this facility included for PC-based OneDrive??
