Include "PowerRename" functionality as part of OneDrive install
I think it might be useful to include Microsoft PowerToys' PowerRename as part of the OneDrive install, or it's functionality.
- a space takes 3 characters (&20) in SharePoint storage. These extra characters add up across the entire file path and could cause sync issues for the end-user.
- end-users may have many existing files that may require 'clean up' or conversion to more efficient file naming convention. PowerRename tool permits renaming single or multiple file's space character to a dash (or other acceptable character).
OneDrive could even have a program setting option to:
- continue using spaces in file/folder names (the current 'default')
- or automatically convert file/folder spaces to dashes (or other 'acceptable' character).
Another thought could be somehow show (maybe in file properties) the total file/path length and whether it is close or has exceeded the current system limitation. I know when I had a file sync issue, it was not evident that I had exceeded the file/path length (due to many spaces in folder and file naming).
