Syncing over LAN
This would allow multiple PCs / Devices with the same OneDrive account to sync over the local LAN network. This makes a huge difference when setting a new PC (or restoring one) as you can transfer 100's of gigs over the LAN much faster and without impacting your Internet bandwidth cap.

We don’t have a timeline yet but it’s still on our radar.

This is definitely a must have feature. Dropbox has had this for over 10 years now. Come on please get with the program and prioritize this already.

The process of syncing 3 or more sources (e.g. Cloud with 2+ PCs) is extremely complex and difficult compared to syncing two sources. Even though many people want this feature and it is simple to describe, it is very hard (but not impossible) to implement.
I don't work for Microsoft, I work in software development. I say this to help with expectations because so many people describe this as critical or "must have". Consider yourself very lucky if you already have this capability. -

This appears to be the #1 requested open feature for OneDrive. It's critically important for me, both for work (OneDrive for Business) and for family (personal OneDrive). I use multiple computers at my house, but Internet bandwidth out here is too low to justify wasting it just to upload and then re-download files to multiple computers. If OneDrive would just be smart enough to sync via LAN when two or more computers connected to the same OneDrive account are also connected via LAN and have network access to each other (same workgroup/domain, same user account, etc.), then I could move my files to OneDrive and drop a whole bunch of clumsy manual steps.

Cannot believe this has SOOOO many voes and Microsoft are still "Thinking about it".
WTF?!?! You are the most stupid, arrogant and least customer centric company ever. This is one of the most essential features and would resolve so many problem of sync issues. -

This is a must have feature. Considering onedrive but will hang fire until this is an option.

actively looking to dump onedrive and microsoft 365 from our company now as a result of this and the ignorant behaviour of microsoft towards its customers.

You could copy data over manually, no? BTW Microsoft used to have SynToy that would do exactly this.

I am a marine surveyor, and I have multiple window 10 computers with me. Often I need to sync files, but as a "Seaman", you don't really get a good internet connection in the middle of the ocean, so this feature is crucial to me, otherwise I might as well just grab a USB stick to pass files between computers.

I just expanded the Admin comments. It's not been high on the radar since 2014! Let that sync in (pun intended). 6 years and no action.

Dropbox has had this for YEARS! It was the primary reason we originally went Dropbox. I'm regretting this now. Uploading GBs of images at <20Mbps and then downloading is painfully time consuming. Maybe MS is showing the business roots of OneDrive and expects everyone to have symmetrical internet. The first sync triggered the 1 TB limit of my provider!

Would be absolutely smashing feature for small companies and families sharing huge amounts of data over OneDrive, because sometimes NAS is too slow (database files for programs like digicam, or lightroom, etc.)

Can we get this already?
Is it really something that you need to think about that much? -
