I do not understand why Microsoft does not support/allow syncing NAS folders.

I use a Lenovo ix2 and EZMedia NAS - previously the Windows libraries allowed network locations to be included, therefore an alternate route to backup was possible - but now that the hard link mapping and inclusion in library is not possible for network drives - please enable backup from NAS drives into OneDrive - without which we are still looking at primitive experience in the cloud world

I use Synology NAS sync SW from PC to NAS. And have used OneDrive within the NAS. I would like to use both (NAS+PC) independently for OD offsite storage. In particular I want to use some folder encryption at the PC and not on the NAS.

My NAS does synk with OD but I would prefer to work on OD and sync to the NAS rather than working on the NAS and having that sykn to OD.
I find my link with OD is more stable and trustworthy. -

This would probably fail as OneDrive can't sync a lot of file types and paths.
