Allow priority settings for files being uploaded
I'm currently uploading a high amount of data (I selected all the files I wanted and copied them to onedrive folder) and it's taking a lot of time. The problem is that some files are more important to me than others and I need them to be uploaded first. It would be great if I could make certain files/ folders that are being uploaded a priority so that those files with higher priority will be the first uploaded (for example, bittorent has this option when downloading files). It would take me a lot of time to cancel the upload and just copy/paste each file in the order I want them to be uploaded.
Thanks for the suggestion.

I would think that feature would help gain instant market share over Dropbox, who still don't offer prioritisation either (and especially that you get 1TB with Office 365).
Seems like it would be a win for Microsoft and a win for us too.
Any word on if/when this could be a thing?

Likewise, I need to set priorities
I am having an exactly the same situation as other members in this discussion. Would appreciate a solution

At times when I have to sync a lot of files, it would be helpful to set priority on files. Otherwise it seems the files I need first sync last.
I'd like an option to make which folders have a priority setting so you could chose which one synced first second third and so on...

Similar to another idea about priority settings, for whole folders too. Also show which files are being synced currently in a list with their priorities next to them, so you can click/drag them up the list to make them more important.

Please yes. I'm sure this would save plenty of wasted time for everyone. E.g. If I want to share files with clients or colleagues I have to wait for ever waiting for files to upload out of my preferred order.
This is a fundamentally vital improvement. I'm increasingly frustrated, having waited for 3 days now, for OneDrive to Sync important video files, while my remaining equally important work files are caught in the traffic jam, and I can neither upload them, or share them with my colleagues. Priceless time and valuable productivity is being lost.

Add the ability to rank folders in order of syncing priority, when I come back from trips i may have 10-40GB of CR2/Video Files that i want to upload but this prevents any changes to my work documents from syncing for about 1-2 weeks while the photos are uploaded i currently run google drive for the storage of slow/large syncing files like photos and use OneDrive for fast files like word/excel documents. by setting the folder priorities i can move to one service for all files.
Have a similar issue - am in the middle of transferring all my data to one drive, have bought some new music and cannot see it on my tablet until all the other data completes uploading (has been running all night and is still in progress).

Whenever I image my computer it takes time for onedrive to sync. During that time it downloads files in an arbitrary order (from my perspective). If I want to work on a certain project I have to wait for those files to be downloaded before I can work.
